Still Joking had a lot of potential in its plot, but the 400,000 words did little to introduce us to it and bring it to life, settling instead for short, inorganic quips, rushed ideas, and clichés.
While Kingsgrave doesn't do anything really new, everything it does it does well. It might not hold your attention for a hundred hours, but you'll have fun while you are there.
The Lost Legends of Redwall: Feasts & Friends is a nice and cosy game to play, but it's so bare-bones right now that I want seconds just to have my fill.
A wonderfully weird adventure, Athenian Rhapsody is both unhinged and charming in equal measure. A delight to play with genuinely enjoyable combat, this is an easy recommendation!
There's nothing exactly wrong with Undead Inc. but you spend more time waiting for the interesting part than you enjoying the build-up.
It has its issues and doesn't bring a lot of new things to the table, but it's a fun, familiar stepping stone to the next Neptunia game, and that's all fans really want.
The METAL GEAR SOLID: MASTER COLLECTION Vol.1 is as solid as you can get with modern platforms, coming with a great selection of games and bonus features that can make new fans out of curious newbies.
One Last Breath is pretty, occasionally tense, but always slow, and fails to develop its puzzles or narrative in any meaningful way beyond the introductory sequence.
You've got a mad old bloke having existential debates with his couch. What's not to like?
Little Kitty, Big City is a cute and cosy game that makes you feel like a kitty, causing chaos to get home. The camera can be a pain, but the game is so sweet, you must play it!
22 new weapons, chockful of new evolutions, and a splash of nostalgia make Vampire Survivors: Operation Guns a no-brainer at its £1.99 price point.
Botany Manor is a charming puzzle game with a lovely setting, a relaxed mood, and fun puzzles you can spend an afternoon with! While recommended for fans of both puzzles and botany, the three-hour runtime may be steep for the price point.
V Rising makes being a vampire fun, with a great feeling of being both predator and prey. With plenty of challenges to face, both from the world and other players, alone or with friends.
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a lovely interactive productivity tool that radiates positive, relaxing vibes. With cute spirits and customisations, getting work done has never been so cosy.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is a fun arcade experience for home with up to four players, but it is very short!
Tents and Trees is a great example of a coffee or morning game to play and something to do after a long day of work.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is for fans of turn-based RPGs. It's challenging, has great heroes, and a deep story. It will pull you in!
With striking visuals and satisfyingly smooth combat, Death of a Wish is an action-packed RPG that you won't want to miss.
Freedom Planet 2 takes everything great about the first game, adds a bit of polish and some extra mechanics, and gives us an absolute beast of a game. I cannot praise it enough, it's just brilliant fun!
Planet Crafter is a very peaceful, satisfying game worth dumping your hours into. It's a game you play to relax after a hard day's work, and what better way to show it than by turning a lifeless rock into somewhere you can call home?
