On Your Tail can be a bit rocky at times, with the game sometimes struggling to balance both its life sim and detective elements, not helped by some awkward gameplay segments surrounding the core mystery. Still, thanks to a strong and lovable cast of characters and a gorgeous little town filled with a lot of fun stuff to do, there's a ton here to enjoy, especially for those looking for something more cozy to chill out with. Indeed, it's a nice little vacation worth taking.
An engaging blend of life sim and detective mystery, On Your Tail has a wonderful setting and great characters. Unfortunately, the overall experience is bogged down by painful load times and debilitating technical issues. The game isn't a graphical powerhouse and the Switch is more than capable of maintaining a stable day in Borga Marina. Here's hoping Memorable can patch in some improvements post-launch so that Diana's search for inspiration feels less like a slog.
On Your Tail is a lively journey through Liguria in the role of the young Diana, a Turinese in search of inspiration for her new work. Built well and with soul, the title reaches the heart of the player with simplicity and skill, leveraging the memories and memories of the past of each of us. On Your Tail has a lot of heart, but that's sadly not enough to support a mystery that is constantly falling flat on its face. Its puzzles are infuriating rather than fun, with no real clues to follow and determine the culprit ahead of time. The characters are incredibly charming, Borgo Marina is gorgeous, and the life sim elements are fun, but the core of this taste of Italy is incredibly bitter.

On Your Tail is a refreshing game in the mammoth sea of what you normally see out in the wild west of gaming. You can easily tell that On Your Tail is a well thought out game filled with purpose and ambition. The games' fully explored ideas and established implementation of its mechanics effortlessly sells you on its intentions. The great graphics, character designs, and other elements of the gameplay like going on dates, delivering mail, making phone calls, collecting artwork, solving riddles, and finding hidden star constellations create a game with a lot of merit. Sadly, the Switch version is just not worth anyone's time due to uncompromisable issues that completely halt your experience making this game frustratingly unsatisfying.
On Your Tail brings you a charming Italian vacation experience you won't forget. The ambience is perfect, the townspeople charming, and the mysteries are fun to solve. Unfortunately this game does have some rough edges which are too hard to ignore, along with potential gamebreaking bugs. Don't let the flaws turn you away, this is still fun to play. Give Borgo Marina a chance and you will see that everything comes together to form a cozy game masterpiece.
On Your Tails is one of the most charming and surprising adventures we've played this year, even when it's held back by some gameplay flaws.
