On Your Tail Reviews
On Your Tail can be a bit rocky at times, with the game sometimes struggling to balance both its life sim and detective elements, not helped by some awkward gameplay segments surrounding the core mystery. Still, thanks to a strong and lovable cast of characters and a gorgeous little town filled with a lot of fun stuff to do, there's a ton here to enjoy, especially for those looking for something more cozy to chill out with. Indeed, it's a nice little vacation worth taking.
On Your Tail is a lively journey through Liguria in the role of the young Diana, a Turinese in search of inspiration for her new work. Built well and with soul, the title reaches the heart of the player with simplicity and skill, leveraging the memories and memories of the past of each of us. It is not easy, if we think about it, to be able to tell oneself with memories. Long live memories, then, but also beautiful Italian video games. And On Your Tail is a beautiful Italian video game.

On Your Tail has a lot of heart, but that's sadly not enough to support a mystery that is constantly falling flat on its face. Its puzzles are infuriating rather than fun, with no real clues to follow and determine the culprit ahead of time. The characters are incredibly charming, Borgo Marina is gorgeous, and the life sim elements are fun, but the core of this taste of Italy is incredibly bitter.
The mysterious new life sim On Your Tail has players solving crimes in an idyllic Italian coastal village.
On Your Tail brings you a charming Italian vacation experience you won't forget. The ambience is perfect, the townspeople charming, and the mysteries are fun to solve. Unfortunately this game does have some rough edges which are too hard to ignore, along with potential gamebreaking bugs. Don't let the flaws turn you away, this is still fun to play. Give Borgo Marina a chance and you will see that everything comes together to form a cozy game masterpiece.
On Your Tails is one of the most charming and surprising adventures we've played this year, even when it's held back by some gameplay flaws.

Despite some uncertainties in balancing investigation and life-sim elements and the excessive backtracking, On Your Tail offers a captivating setting, a wealth of secondary activities, and uncommon longevity.

A promising premise bogged down by terrible visual optimization and an infuriating base mechanic.
On Your Tail is not an entirely bad game. I don't feel that the dozen or so hours spent were completely wasted. It's a title you can play and have fun with, as long as you turn off your thinking. The title is imperfect in many ways. The technical side needs many improvements, including better optimization and camera work. The story is weak and poorly paced, and the characters are completely unmemorable. The town of Borgo Marina is a charming place where we can try some fun activities, but it's nothing that will draw you to the screen for a long time.

On Your Tail is ideal for those who love cozy detective adventure games. With its genuine tale, charming characters, and abundance of side activities, this adventure isn't shy about letting its emotions show. The true friendliness and adventure spirit come through even when the pace or navigation is off.
On Your Tail is a great cozy detective game that succeeds in almost every aspect that it needs to, with only some minor inconveniences sprinkled throughout. The core gameplay loop is solid, and I really enjoy the way you both get clues and figure out the timeline of events. The mini-games are also a great way to break up the loop, and the world itself is amazing and colorful to explore. It is a bit difficult to navigate sometimes, and using the Chronolens isn't the easiest, but it doesn't change how enjoyable the game is. And it is wonderful to play on the Steam Deck. The default settings look great and perform well, and with some slight changes to framerate and refresh rate, we can enjoy the portable experience, making this easily the best way to play.
On Your Tail oozes charisma and life through every pore and manages to create an adventure experience that is as memorable as its developer's name suggests. Although my experience with the game has come up against several technical issues, it is an impressively high-quality, unique adventure title, and there is no doubt that any player looking for an experience of this genre should enjoy it.
