7.5 / 10.0 - Bubsy 4D
May 31, 2026

Bubsy 4D came out of nowhere, promised little, and delivered a lot. The mascot, always considered the underdog and the bane of gaming, finally showed that he can be more than a repetitive joke and be genuinely interesting, unlike the failed attempts of The Woolies Strike Back and Paws on Fire! It's not a foolproof adventure, nor one of the best platformers of recent years, but Bubsy 4D's value is undeniable: redeeming an infamous character and offering him a chance to show his potential. Not bad, Bubsy. Not bad at all.

Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection is an efficient compilation of games ranging from decent to one of the biggest media abominations of the last 100 years. Even with some missing titles and the dubious quality of its games, it's great to see that Bubsy, with so many moderately iconic characters, received an accessible and well-made collection. The lynx's catchphrase in the past was "What could pawssibly go wrong?", and, genuinely, very little went wrong. Not that it could get worse with Bubsy 3D in your library, but it was decent, that's for sure.

Mina the Hollower is fascinating on many levels. Its world is captivating, with details everywhere, and challenges that flourish in both movement and melee combat. Given the arsenal of weapons and gadgets, which can drastically alter how the player controls the protagonist, and the non-linear progression, the replay value is immense and should certainly make this title another gem from Yacht Club Games.

7.5 / 10.0 - Rune Dice
May 27, 2026

Rune Dice is a roguelite that stands out for its simple yet addictive gameplay. While it suffers from a lack of ambition, the title from Smart Raven Studios deserves a look for those who enjoy quick, unpretentious games that are easy to understand and fun to master. Furthermore, unassuming but well-executed ideas will always have a place in the world of games. It's just a shame that, in this specific case, the lack of depth took its toll—maybe next time?

Far more than a cheap imitation, LumenTale: Memories of Trey lives up to its influences, delivering an adventure worthy of being in the collection of any fan of monster-catching games. The fact that not even its current technical problems prevent its recommendation is proof that Beehive Studios has managed to create something truly special since its Kickstarter campaign.

8.5 / 10.0 - Tales of Arise
May 20, 2026

Tales of ARISE - Beyond the Dawn Edition stands out as a very beautiful port, bringing combat gameplay that, by far, I can say is very dynamic and fun — the highlight of the game. The title is visually stunning, both in handheld mode and in docked mode on the Nintendo Switch 2. It's a great addition to the Nintendo console's library, highly recommended for both novice and veteran players who want to enjoy the game on the handheld, where it's possible to play anywhere.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is an extremely creative and charismatic experience, relying much more on curiosity and experimentation than on traditional challenges. Its calmer pace and focus on discovery certainly won't appeal to all players, especially those looking for constant action or a more straightforward adventure. Still, for those who buy into its premise from the first few hours, it's an addictive, relaxing game full of personality.

8 / 10.0 - Sektori
May 14, 2026

Even without focusing on narrative—something perfectly acceptable within the twin-stick shooter genre—Sektori finds its strength in what truly matters: sharp gameplay, intense matches, and a constant desire to try again. For fans of modern arcade challenges, it's a simple experience in structure, but hard to put down.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle arrives on the Switch 2 in a surprisingly well-made port that, despite one or two performance issues in more open environments, proves that the Nintendo platform does indeed have enough power to render current-generation experiences with quality. As a result, this journey worthy of one of cinema's greatest icons is also highly recommended in its Nintendo version.

Drawing inspiration once again from the classics that defined the 1990s and early 2000s, Monster Crown: Sin Eater refines the formula of its predecessor, delivering a truly captivating RPG within the monster-collecting genre. As a result, while there is still considerable room for improvement in a potential third entry, the game stands as a title well worth recommending to anyone who enjoys capturing and training fantastical creatures.

Zombie Rollerz: The Last Ship perfectly understands its premise: to offer fast, over-the-top, and unpretentious fun. Even without reinventing the genre, the game manages to stand out thanks to its mix of frenetic action, simple controls, and a great sense of humor. The technical limitations of the Nintendo Switch version and the visual repetition prevent the experience from reaching an even higher level, but this doesn't detract from the brilliance of genuinely fun gameplay. For those looking for an accessible, chaotic, and personality-filled roguelike, it's worth embarking on this zombie destruction machine—especially if the idea of running over the undead for hours sounds like a good pastime.

I've been following the development of Mouse: P.I. For Hire since its announcement. After Cuphead's success in emulating the rubber-hose feeling, many games tried to replicate the formula and failed miserably (like the aforementioned Bad Cheese and the embarrassing clone Enchanted Portals). Mouse, on the other hand, strives and succeeds strongly in delivering a game that not only pays tribute but forges its own identity. An interesting and highly immersive universe, charismatic characters, a hail of bullets between the sword of justice and villainous scoundrels, and copious (or should I say gnawing?) doses of humor and cheese already make this one of my favorite titles of 2026.

8 / 10.0 - Elementallis
May 8, 2026

Elementallis is a modest but charming experience. It hits the mark with its classic adventure atmosphere, puzzles, gradual world-building, and an environmental message that truly resonates with the game's premise. Despite some interaction issues and occasional bugs, it's a title that showcases good ideas and enough personality to warrant the attention of those who enjoy this style of adventure.

9 / 10.0 - MULLET MADJACK
Apr 30, 2026

Mullet MadJack is a title that's quite easy to recommend for fans of shooting games. Its fast-paced gameplay is engaging and addictive, and the OVA anime aesthetic — complete with high-quality Brazilian dubbing — makes it a true trip down memory lane for those nostalgic for the 1980s and 1990s. So, if there was any doubt, it no longer exists: saving the influential princess by controlling Jack and his unmistakable mullet is a must-play on the Nintendo Switch as well.

9.5 / 10.0 - Pragmata
Apr 22, 2026

Pragmata is video games at their best. Even though it's a relatively short experience, it delivers excitement, unique gameplay, and a universe with great potential for expansion. It can function as a self-contained work, but it also opens the way for sequels or even a new major science fiction franchise.

Ultimately, Ys Memoire: Revelations Celceta is a solid and engaging experience that shines primarily in its fast-paced and well-structured combat. Even with minor narrative inconsistencies, the game perfectly captures the adventurous spirit of the series, making it an excellent way to revisit, or discover, this classic journey.

8.5 / 10.0 - Pokemon Champions
Apr 17, 2026

Pokémon Champions proved to be an extremely fun game, with a system for testing new builds that quickly becomes addictive. For competitive veterans, this title is indispensable, even with the reduced number of items and Pokémon; those who follow the community know that the Scarlet & Violet scene was already saturated. For newcomers who have always been curious about entering the world of battles but found the process too difficult, this is the perfect game. It offers the ideal tools to learn the fundamental concepts and take the first steps on this journey to becoming a Pokémon master.

8.5 / 10.0 - MotionRec
Apr 16, 2026

MotionRec makes excellent use of platforming and action elements in its puzzles, which have a learning curve that is, for the most part, well-designed and enriching for the player's experience with each discovery. The game is relatively short, but in this case, that seems ideal, as it manages to provide that brain stimulation with each solution without overdoing the quantity in order to maintain quality.

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is a pleasant and much-anticipated surprise for a gentle series that had been dormant. Its small additions to improve gameplay, such as more identity options and enhanced environments, are very welcome and make all the difference in appreciating the little things in virtual life.

Apr 14, 2026

Having become a fan of the series relatively recently, I can say that Legacy of Kain: Ascendance disappointed me. I admit it's bold in expanding the franchise's horizons into new genres and further exploring its universe. The soundtrack is very good, imposing and captivating, the voice acting is respectful, and it's good to see Raziel again. However, the game lacks the strength to attract new players based solely on its name and may alienate fans with its poorly developed story, amateurish gameplay, and, frankly, the emptiness of its existence. It's effectively a useless title for the series, and only the most bloodthirsty fans might be interested.
