GameGrin's Reviews
There are some issues with the game, but they certainly don't hamper the fun of smashing through the walls of Detroit.
Compelling and strange, Slay the Princess is a unique, expertly-written visual novel.
Priced at just £8.50, subpar pool is something I recommend as a no-brainer for anyone who likes the premise.
Bish Bash Bots is a unique blend of a tower defence title and a brawler that can be played alone or with friends. It can get challenging at times, but it's a ton of fun!
Cavern of Dreams hearkens to a more innocent era of videogames, providing a short and sweet adventure that'll have you brimming with nostalgia. Although rough around a few of its more minor edges, there's still a substantially poignant experience to be had.
Wildmender is a beautiful game that manages to balance cosy gardening with epic adventure and ruthless survival. One of my favourite games of the year. And you can hug frogs.
The Gap has a compelling and sombre narrative and an interesting premise that will appeal to fans of slow-burning mysteries. Whilst the puzzles could have been slightly more complex, this short game of one man's quest to save his loved ones is still a tale worth experiencing.
Savant - Ascent REMIX is a challenging twin-stick shooter with a great soundtrack and beautiful visuals. If you love bullet-hell games, this is a title that you will want to try!
Asterix & Obelix: Heroes is a serviceable game for what it is but lacks the passion and impact needed to make it fun for more than a short play session.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is a decently fun time. While not perfect, it's a unique take on a sandbox survival game.
Ghostrunner 2 is an exemplary sequel, improving upon the original in every way. With better Energy systems, delightful and responsive bike levels, fantastic bosses, and the same quick-paced gameplay from the original, it's a no-brainer for anyone who remotely enjoyed the first.
Scene Investigators demands the attention of a real investigator, with the determination and knowledge to crack cases open. For the patient and studious, you'll be greatly rewarded for your efforts.
Dash & Swing may seem simple based on its title, but requires a lot of skill and practice to really master.
Space Wreck is a great example of an isometric RPG but simplified enough for new players to the style.
Station to Station is a fantastic game, with a beautifully calming atmosphere, yet slightly lacking in content.
TY the Tasmanian Tiger 4 Bush Rescue isn't a busted title, but it doesn't do anything to make it feel memorable or special from other platformers out there. It mostly felt repetitive and not challenging enough to make it rewarding.
Mystic Gate is a fun roguelite bullet hell game that will challenge your reflexes and that has a huge assortment of weapons and skills that you acquire to use on your runs. It's a challenging game, but feels addictive and not incredibly frustrating!
Although a few issues can mar the overall enjoyment, CRYMACHINA is nevertheless an enjoyable tale of reincarnated humans and their struggle to define what it is to be a "real human". Slick, responsive combat and a fantastic musical score make this a title you shouldn't overlook.
Cattails: Wildwood Story is a cute cosy game featuring adorable cats trying to survive on their own in the wilderness. Channel your inner cat to ensure your clan thrives!
Sweet Dreams Alex isn't bad, but at times, it feels repetitive and doesn't have an engaging story to make you want to continue playing.
