If you go at it alone, ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is going to feel a bit barebones and one-trick since the AI controlled rockets are not going be controlled by actual humans sitting next to you, trash-talking as they try to destroy you.

Shape of the World is an interesting release that is almost more of an experience and not what you'd expect or are used to playing when you hear the word video game. Some of you might call this a walking simulator, which is not that far off, but the way the game is presented and how the music complements the experience, shifting as new shapes and colors come into play, makes this one a game you have to try.

If you're looking for an old-school infused shoot ‘em up on PlayStation 4 at a budget price, then Monkey King: Master of the Clouds is definitely going to scratch that itch. The game is much easier to play with two players on board since they both share a single total lives count and as long as one of the players remains alive, the other can rejoin the fight after a 10 second countdown, which is different from how you take on this one if you're playing on your own.

Shift Quantum is a fun puzzle platformer with a minimalist black and white look that works since it allows you to focus on the puzzles without being distracted by any unnecessary “oomph.” Other than a few instances in which the framerate dipped when playing in Portable or Tabletop mode, the game runs great and is easy to understand and enjoy.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is a fun, colorful and challenging action platformer that has now found its way to the Nintendo Switch. This being the Owltimate Edition means that it's the most packed version of the game with 40 levels in total and plenty of collectibles to find in each one. Go give it a try!

As fun as the sandbox mode is, the single-player side of the game is a bit boring. If there was an extra mode or more maps to play in, there would be some much-needed variety, but at least the multiplayer mode against other humans does increase the replay value. So if you're a creative individual and like the look and feel of this voxel game, then its $4.99 price can make it worth it to you.

I was not a particular fan of pinball tables, but after getting the chance to review many of them over the years, I have to say that Zen Studios has won me over. Pinball FX3, their latest pinball platform, shows how much the team has improved their craft over the dozens of tables they've released. Are you ready to take on the challenge that the Jurassic Park Pinball table pack has to offer?

As is the case for the other four pinball tables from EnjoyUp Games, Halloween Pinball features an online leaderboard so that you can compare your scores with other players around the world, but getting a top spot is going to take a lot patience and playing the game for hours so that you can get into the groove and find out how to maximize your score! The company has been improving their pinball offerings with each new table they release, so I look forward to seeing what they do next!

PAW Patrol: On a Roll! is a fun, charming and easy to play action platforming game on Nintendo Switch you should check out. Most of the game will be played from a 2D side view as you run and jump through each area, but some stages will mix things up by introducing a maze to complete from an overhead perspective, or present a flying section to change how you approach a challenge. If you're a fan of the show or have kids who are, then this is a great option!

One Strike is a different type of fighter with a clever gameplay hook, a solid pixeltastic art style and a great soundtrack that, when brought together, make it easy for me to recommend this quite unique release. Be sure to check it out on Nintendo Switch!

All and all, Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Night Slashers is a very enjoyable experience, even if it can beat it in 30-40 minutes at most. This doesn't mean you will be done since you can go for another run to get the other two endings for completing the game with the remaining characters, plus a beat ‘em up is always a great option to break out when you have friends over for some fun and relaxing gaming.

Express Raider is an interesting arcade game from another era that is a bit of fun when played in short burst due to its endless nature. Sure, every time you complete a cycle by playing both modes the difficulty will increase, but I don't think most gamers nowadays would appreciate this arcade-style experience, even if you can play it at home or on the go on the Nintendo Switch. Let me know if you've played the game and what you think of it!

If you're looking for a fun and minimalist strategy game to play at home or on the go, in which every time you die you at least make some progress and push the game forward, then you should check out Reigns: Kings and Queens. Gameplay mechanics are very easy to understand, the art style is charming, and the weird scenarios you'll need to solve will keep you coming back for more.

Subaeria is a different type of action puzzle platformer with some roguelike elements. You'll end up dying a lot, but you'll make some progress with every run as you unlock new apps, boosts, and perks to change how you approach your next run. Once you get into the groove, your runs will flow without issue.
