Metroid Prime Remastered is a real must-have for all gamers who might not have had the chance to touch the famous franchise back in the day. It's also a very solid remaster (not to say remake) that can easily bring back nostalgic fans. Still fun and exciting to play, despite some minor stiffness due to its age, Metroid Prime Remastered is a lesson. Yes, there are excellent remasters. And after this rediscovery of one of the most cult games of the Gamecube, we have only one thing in mind: where is Metroid Prime 4?

Blanc is not one best co-op games on the market, but it's a pleasant adventure which skillfully mixes the story, gameplay and cooperative mechanics. Despite readability and very simple puzzles that repeat themselves, this first game from Casus Ludi is a nice catch to spend a relaxing evening.

One of the greatest classics of management games, finally playable in good conditions in 2023. A new interface and 4K graphics to welcome in 2023 the king of Egypt with open arms.

Too bad, we were close to touching an absolutely huge title. However, if you skip the not-so-sexy packaging, Wild Hearts might just surprise you.

Returnal was a fantastic game on PS5, the best one so far, and it stills as good as before. A title that can be enjoyed on PC with the keyboard and mouse combo, or with the DualSense controller to take advantage of haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for an immersive journey. A instant buy for all PC players.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line must be seen as a huge and ultimate update of remarkable richness and generosity. With even more covered episodes and music, always effective mechanics, it will hypnotize music game lovers and Final Fantasy fans alike. An ode to the composers who have built the reputation of the license and an infinite pleasure difficult to sulk. An encore repetita that catches like a siren song.

Hogwarts Legacy is a masterpiece. A fan video game for the fans.

SpongeBob Cosmic Shake is a small but decent platform game without much pretension. THQ's title prefers to capitalise on its accessibility and fan service rather than trying to offer a dense and deep adventure. A choice that will certainly delight the youngest, but much less the older fans. The game is indeed content with the bare minimum regarding its structure, its writing and its gameplay and if it succeeds in what it undertakes, one can only complain that it really does too little. And it's a pity, as the universe lends itself well to it.

Season A Letter to the Future is the PS5 gem of the beginning of this year. The atmospheric game captivates from the very first seconds thanks to its poetry and melancholy. A splendid and magnetic game as much on the visual level as the writing of its dreamlike universe. An artistic spectacle as sublime as its narrative premise that remains intriguing during the few hours needed to complete it.

Dead Space Remake is more than just a remake, it's a whole new game. Motive has done a titanic job to give a second life to one of the masterpieces of the survival horror genre. Not only its graphics are a real slap in the face and its sound design is absolutely fantastic, but he few gameplay adjustments and the work on the level design offer a real added value. Even those who know the original game by heart will be surprised. An incredible dive into horror and a real "new gen" slap in the face. Now we only want one thing, the sequel, and quickly!

Square Enix did the right thing by investing in an entirely new franchise. But in the end, Forspoken is a huge disappointement with too many flaws to be a good game. A bland open world with forgets to shape its own identity, a poor writing and too many weakness from a technical point of view, coexist with some good gameplay mechanics like the spells and the parkour.

Monster Hunter Rise gets a third life on Sony and Microsoft consoles and succeeds, with a few bumps in the road. If you can't take away the fact that it's extremely generous, devilishly enjoyable and relatively clean visually, you also tend to think that there could have been more.

As Blazing Chrome, Vengeful Guardian Moonrider is a neat tribute to old action games. It really feels like a lost Mega Drive title, but on more modern platforms. A good retro trip with a gorgeous aesthetics from the 90s and a soundtrack that could have been in a Streets of Rage game. Imperfect, yes, but generous.

Yes, Tinykin is definitely a good one. The game may be short, but it feels great. With its mastered and skilfully used gameplay, stimulating exploration, a lot of humour and an appealing art direction, Splashteam's game manages to give us a great time. In short, it's a real breath of fresh air that will certainly delight fans of the genre and will certainly surprise all the others.

Scrap Riders attempts a surprising mix of point & click and beat'em all and it works. The puzzles are rather pleasant and the action phases are mastered and very dynamic. The problem is that the game is also extremely talkative, doesn't tell much and makes heavy and/or embarrassing jokes (you either like it or you don't), when it doesn't stick references under our noses as if we weren't able to notice them. As a bonus, the pixel art often hinders readability in exploration and combat. As a result, the experience is clearly not as exciting as hoped and the good ideas are stifled by a general lack of finesse.

It is now a constant, with Arkanoid Eternal Battle, Pastagames offers a very nice reinvention of a great video game classic. Those who in their younger years broke bricks so that the little ship Vaus could carry out its mission will find their 1986 game as if they were in a game center, in addition to a Neo mode that brings enough novelties and good ideas to boost interest. Finally, the Battle Royale, a great novelty here, fits perfectly to Taito's cult title, especially when the whole is supported by visuals and electro-futuristic music of the best effect.

Dragon Quest Treasures could have been a Switch's little gem, but it will remain in the shadow of its elder brother. With its efficient collecting, taming and crafting mechanics, the spin-off could get any gamer hooked. The exploration is generous, engaging, but the annoying back and forth, the lack of fast travel, the laughably poor combat system and the shaky technique will get the better of the most patient. A fun game, captivating at its best, with wasted potential.
