Although a lot of the Kafkaesque story beats, like the father-son relationship and the surreal, absurdist scenarios the boy found himself in, were unique and initially interesting; SELF just didn’t have the metamorphosis it needed to turn into something greater.
A fun and quirky title that combines elements of puzzle platforming, rogue likes, and narrative titles all bundled up into an oddball tin can and fired off past Jupiter. Journey to the Savage Planet is a trip you will want to take
Ultimate Racing 2D comes very close to being a good racing simulator but is hindered by elements usually reserved for arcade racers. Blending the two styles together ultimately leads to an identity crisis for the game, and the resulting gameplay ends up being bland.
Shadow In The Ice is a solid expansion of the first Season 5 episode.
Overall, Atelier Dusk Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a trilogy that is worthy of a lot more time from me and I intend to give them more time soon. I have enjoyed every aspect of the games and the story has especially pulled me in. At $89.99 USD you can purchase the game on PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and you won't be disappointed. You get three games for a decent price. I hope you have fun playing.
Frog Detective 2: The Case of the Invisible Wizard is a delightful sequel to The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game.
Alphaman is worth the trip to a not-so-far-off into the 20XXs.
I personally enjoyed running around co-op style with my friends and seeing how far we can get before switching and making fun of the others.
Mythic Ocean isn’t about putting limits on the player for the sake of progression. Instead, it encourages you to dive deep into its story and rewards you with a world full of life, color, music, and meaning that is sure to stay with you for years to come.
I found Fallback to be challenging, fun, and charming. The game has a great atmosphere and the gameplay is spot on.
SuperEpic has nowhere to go after it comes screaming out of the gate. Its engaging initial gameplay never really evolves past button-mashing. Decent sprite work is derailed by environments that are so bland as to defy recollection. Its own commentary on the bereftness of mobile games ends up being a commentary on itself, and leaves you a lonely, wandering shell, questioning your gaming habits, your existence...everything.
Overall, it was a fun game for what it is. It is a basic train builder, with fairly simple controls and a huge canvas for you to take creative control over. For the low price of $19.99 USD, you can play the game as you wish, and you will have the chance to relive moments from building the train tracks from your youth.
Luckily, both of these together in the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove makes the collection all the more worth it.
After seeing three episodes of Song Of Horror we still stand by our original assessment that this game has all the components of a strong horror adventure game rivalling those that many of us grew up with. Its puzzles won't wear you down with frustration, some of the real-time mini-game mechanics might. Nevertheless, the horror environments are sure to deliver a scare and an interesting mystery story.
Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park is not just for Jurassic Park movie fans or those who get a non-physical kick out of dinosaurs but is also for those who enjoy realism and watching their map grow and flow.
Story of a Gladiator is an action beat'em up from Brain Seal Entertainment that puts the player in the boots of a gladiator that has lost everything. While the title "Story of a Gladiator" may be a misnomer as the actual story is short, with no real impact on much of what you do, Story of a Gladiator manages to pull off a fun action title that will keep players invested for several hours as they bash, slice, and skewer their way to the top.
An inadequate tie-in game for the Netflix series Narcos that pales in comparison to its source material.
Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition brings a classic game to a more modern look while retaining everything which made the original a classic in the first place. It's worth playing for anyone who hasn't ever played it and a fun trip through memory lane for those of us who have loved it. Unfortunately, the Switch version suffers from not having the touchscreen-enabled for navigating menus and in-game.
Conclusively Paranoia: Happiness is Mandatory is a great adaption of the Paranoia RPG.
Midnight in Salem feels slightly rushed, and for a five year wait it really shouldn't have been, but it is still very enjoyable for both new and old players of the series. The story and characters are just as engaging as they've always been, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end.
