Besides its difficulty that will discourage the less patient, the game wants to do too much and ends up weary, when technical bugs sometimes do not come into disream. It's a shame because you can still feel the good intentions of these designers and the world of Oddworld is still as fascinating as ever.

Not only is it visually sound, but the artistic direction is also a hit. The new monsters are mostly sublime and their animations decidedly awesome. Despite the heaviness of some weapons, the fights are more dynamic than ever thanks to the Filoptere and each hunt offers jubilant moments where victory gives a real sense of accomplishment. In short, it's all good, vividly the sequel.

Josef Fares succeeds brilliantly in his bet. With It Takes Two, he offers us an effective and enchanting cooperative game in which we clearly don't have time to get bored. Even if its scenario does not break 3 legs to a duck and it ends a little dry, it allows to propose multiple inspired universes that we take pleasure in crossing.

Tarsier Studios delivers a suite worthy of its predecessor. The game does not pretend to reinvent the genre and despite the few problems tainting the gameplay, we feel that they put a lot of heart to the work to make this experience interesting and authentic, although too short.

The Medium is in line with previous studio productions. Namely a nice game with good ideas, but that suffers from some heaviness and a technique a bit below what the competition offers. On the other hand, even if the game takes its time in its first part, it offers a gripping story carried by strong subjects and strewn with twist. The Medium remains an atypical and convincing game despite its few shortcomings.

There are remakes that just offer a new youth to a work and there is Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix has managed to reinvent its myth by offering it a more consistent story, more in-depth characters, a fun combat system, exceptional music and a visual slap.
