Tarsier Studios delivers a suite worthy of its predecessor. The game does not pretend to reinvent the genre and despite the few problems tainting the gameplay, we feel that they put a lot of heart to the work to make this experience interesting and authentic, although too short.

15 / 20 - The Medium
Feb 7, 2021

The Medium is in line with previous studio productions. Namely a nice game with good ideas, but that suffers from some heaviness and a technique a bit below what the competition offers. On the other hand, even if the game takes its time in its first part, it offers a gripping story carried by strong subjects and strewn with twist. The Medium remains an atypical and convincing game despite its few shortcomings.

IO Interactive has brought the final touch to its great web of the World of Assassination, still offering players a reference infiltration sandbox - with superb destinations built intelligently and always varied after all this time - leading to the culmination of a unique formula and a beautiful end of trilogy.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an excellent experience, a good big RPG perfectly mastered, original and very addictive, but is not the huge, monumental achievement that was expected.

Demon's Souls Remake is beautiful and fluid, what a pleasure to return to the land of Boletaria in these conditions. The bestiary is varied, the fights are technical and demanding. What could be better than learning through failure to improve? Because yes, you will die and die, but that is what makes the feat even more rewarding.

Admittedly, Observer is not a triple A with a production equal to the video game stars of the genre, such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Deus Ex. And its anecdotal gameplay will not suit those looking for a "traditional" video game. But Observer is also a proposal, a vision of cyberpunk that honors the most striking works we have seen. With its creepy and oppressive world, its dirty and sticky atmosphere, and its narrative filled with innovative ideas, Observer is a game that marks the spirits. A successful coating that sublimates a mastered scenario, addressing themes specific to cyberpunk, and which reveals a dystopia where it makes it hurt.

Keeping the cute side that made the success of his first albums, Sackboy: A Big Adventure finally meets the expectations of those looking for a nice little game to spend time with their offspring. But players accustomed to the sure values of the genre will regret the lack of challenge and memorable passages that remain in the lead several hours after a game. It is to be hoped for the future of the franchise that it will stop relying on the recipes of the success of its past to innovate as it had done in the era of PlayStation 3.
