15 / 20 - Fast RMX
Mar 12, 2017

It's without any filters that Fast RMX brings us at high-speed into a well-made arcade experience . With numerous and sufficiently varied tracks, a well cooked gameplay that demands your attention at all time, the game needs to appear in your library if you're into the genre, all the more so as it's price is a teeny-tiny one.

Quickly tiring and with no real challenge in its single player mode, Wildlands reaches its real interest in cooperative sessions with good teamplayers. Even if its numerous shortcomings will have us curse a lot and often want to quit, after a few hours we get the urge to turn the console back on to come back in Bolivia. Roaming the roads of this country with friends will occupy our time for many long hours and now we just have to hope that a few patchs can bring the whole experience to a more enjoyable level, while expecting the DLCs to bring interesting content.

16 / 20 - 2Dark
Mar 10, 2017

Fr'drick Raynal makes a successful come back at the survival-horror genre with 2Dark. Taking the infiltration approach for its gameplay, the title shines for its horrifying atmosphere. The studio made no compromise on gore with a great selection of serial killers that will put your nerves to the test, all coated in an original and oldschool art direction with a solid OST.

We left disappointed from our time with Mario Sports Superstars. The intention was good, but unfortunately the scope was too narrow to really grab our attention. Nintendo seems to have rested on its laurels and its expertise to deliver reheated stuff, with no risks taken whatsoever exception made for just one sport which was more a miss than a hit. In reality, the title quickly becomes a drag wether you play alone or online. It's a shame because it shows beautiful assets with a colorful universe and diverse gameplays, but it seems that Nintendo athletes are somehow tired of running in every single competition.

20 / 20 - Nier: Automata
Mar 6, 2017

NieR: Automata is the perfect mix between Action RPG and Beat'em all genres. With a solid gameplay at the service of a clever, well written and thought provoking story like rarely seen before, the title is a bliss to go through until a grand final that won't leave you indifferent. Masterful, sublime and moving, the work of Yoko Taro transcends its older sibling without difficulty thanks to a character design, and a visual and musical artistic direction that will take your breath away. However, it's not with its technical side that the title will remain in history, but rather because of something deeper and intimate, like not many games manage to do. Already cult, NieR:Automata deserves indisputably to chair proudly besides the greatests games published to this day.

Zelda manages to change its core mechanics brilliantly with a well thought-out gameplay that undusts the saga while opening the door to newcomers. Its colorful universe and atypical characters are the foundation of a magical experience, and it bewitched us before we realised it. Wandering the land of Hyrule quickly becomes an obsession at any time of the day. It's just a pity that the title is handicaped by the technical shortcomings of the Switch and that the size of the Joy-Cons cause a few hiccups here and there. For those who'll choose to live the adventure in handheld mode, this episode is a must-have on the console and shows that sometimes, only one title is needed to redeem a whole lineup.

Games that go so far as to making their mark on people's minds right from their first entry are pretty rare nowadays, but Horizon belongs to this closed circle without any doubt possible. Offering a unique story that keeps us on tenterhooks for a minimum of thirty hours, the game stands out with its principal protagonist that we won't forget any time soon, a universe cleverly mixing genres and a visual masterpiece never seen before. Sony keeps months old promises and missing out on such a game early this year seems almost impossible for any Playstation 4 owner. Horizon knocks out its competitors and puts itself in a great place for the GOTY 2017 title.

16 / 20 - Halo Wars 2
Feb 16, 2017

Like its predecessor, the title fits perfectly into the world of strategy games and allows players of all backgrounds to get to know the world of the Halo saga. Although the ideal for playing this kind of game remains the keyboard / mouse combo, the many controller tips make it easy to get out of it. It’s a shame that resource management isn’t developed enough to satisfy diehard fans of the discipline, but the inclusion of Blitz mode to provide quick, hassle-free games is welcome. The title is still well made in terms of graphics, but really stands out in terms of its cinematics made by a master. For getting to know real-time strategy games and the Halo universe, Halo Wars 2 remains the gold standard.

18 / 20 - Dishonored 2
Nov 21, 2016

Dishonored 2 is not here to make a revolution but has succeeded in the essential: improving a formula that has already proven its worth four years ago. With its artistic direction that delivers a sublime city, its two assassins as well as a level-design mastered to perfection that pushes exploration and leaves players a real freedom of action, Dishonored has become in just two opuses a reference of the genre.

16 / 20 - Rez Infinite
Oct 23, 2016

In the end, is Rez Infinite to be classified in the category of lazy ports to enlarge a line-up or does it really justify going back to the checkout? Without hesitation, we put it in the second. Virtual reality makes it possible to modernize the game and involve the player thanks to an immersion impossible without this technology.

17 / 20 - Gears of War 4
Oct 12, 2016

Let's not take it all in all, the Canadian studio has tamed the beast but above all the heavy legacy of the license. Unsurprisingly and without taking any great risks, Gears of War 4 remains remarkably effective. With a successful storytelling, punchy gameplay and exemplary technique, the campaign manages to do justice to the saga and restore its image after a Judgment below expectations. The multiplayer inherits a superb treatment, with many game modes just as pleasant, and especially the Horde mode which should occupy a large fanbase. Quite simply, a real success, and a must for any TPS fan.

19 / 20 - Forza Horizon 3
Sep 20, 2016

With Forza Horizon 3, the Xbox One holds this year's racing game 2016 and sends the competition back to the ropes. The flaws seen in the past have been erased over the years and it is impossible to say that you love cash registers without having this opus in your game library. The addition of off-road racing takes the title into a whole new dimension.

14 / 20 - ReCore
Sep 12, 2016

Recore ultimately fails to set itself apart from the many TPS that exist on the market and its "unfinished" look won't help it stay in gamers' memory as it should. The title manages to grab the player in the first few minutes, but quickly becomes frustrating and redundant. It is to be hoped that patches will arrive quickly to correct the concerns present at the release. Not everything is tossed in Recore, however, and TPS arcade fans will be delighted to have taken part in an adventure that deserves to be available at a low price from launch.

17 / 20 - INSIDE
Jul 7, 2016

After Limbo, PlayDead returns in the most beautiful way possible with a dark and cold narrative with a controlled rhythm from beginning to end. Inside seems to surpass its predecessor on all points, from the technique to the depth of its theme that will invite each player to question himself and build his own theory.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is an exemplary remake, which excels in all areas, of those that we would like to see more often in the mode of the video game . Vanillaware proves that they are indeed the masters of 2D even in 1080p and 60Hertz. But significant progress has also been made in the way of playing, which is proving to be much more flexible, taking advantage of the lessons brought by Dragon's Crown and Muramasa.

Once again Naughty Dog lives up to the event and the expectations of the players. The studio signed this episode as the most successful of the Uncharted series. The subtle mix of gameplay with that of The Last of Us is very effective and transcends mind-blowing direction and art direction.
