8 / 10.0 - Watch Dogs 2
Nov 15, 2016

Watch Dogs 2 was designed for those who love an open world rich with possibility and those who love an experience drenched in fun and comedy, rather than those who love shooting or using weapons or following a linear story. The game succeeded in giving same to a vibrant San Francisco and the big tech wave that's sweeping this generation which allows you to control the environment around you and makes you the king of the city. It's a refreshing game that's as dense as you need it to be but can give you a break if you get tired of heavy plots.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard brings back the glory of horror and excitement but is dragged down by a cliche story, easy puzzles, limited enemies, and overstretched game time.

6 / 10.0 - Sniper Elite 4
Feb 12, 2017

Sniper Elite 4 succeeds in presenting a slow and tense atmosphere the closer to you get to your targets. Sneaking around a level through the darkness and taking out a target from a great distance without getting caught it one of the most satisfying experiences. It's a shame that these moments are few and far in between, and you spend most of your time with highly aggressive enemy AI. This can get really frustrating after a few hours of gameplay and the only thing that keeps you playing is looking forward to the next sniping mission and seeing it through the kill cam.

7.5 / 10.0 - For Honor
Feb 19, 2017

If you can ignore the glaring connectivity issues, there is strength in For Honor’s arms. It’s multi-layered combat is its biggest selling point, which demands patience, wit, and intelligence to excel. Its moments of failures and successes resulting from it are some of the best I have had, but I only wish that they come in more often and consistently. Not everything works for For Honor, but there is tremendous potential. Right now, at launch, For Honor is a game envisioned by its developers. Now it’s up to the community to mold it into something of their own.

For a game claiming to be the "spiritual successor" of the popular 1990 RPG, Torment does not only capture the soul of Planescape: Torment that made us feel nostalgic, but it also managed to get rid of the old cliches and add enough new ideas to be a great game on its own. Even though some of the new systems aren't ideal, the right mix of a charming world, an epic story, interested characters, and surprising plot twists puts it on the list of the greatest modern RPGs.

I enjoyed finished a vast majority of the missions in Wildlands and exploring the varied open world and learning more about the complex crime syndicate founded by El Sueno and operated by the men and women he's cherry picked to carry out his nefarious plans. I also enjoyed the cooperative gameplay and unlocking the tools and abilities that became indispensable in the second half of the game. However so much focus went into these elements that other areas of the game suffered most notably the repetitive missions, the limited ally AI, and being able to use the same strategy to defeat every boss in more than 30 hours of game time.

The French Army's in first expansion for Battlefield 1, with four new maps, a new operation and new weapons, is undoubtedly worth acquiring. I would have preferred a new individual campaign to deepen the events of France's defense of its territory, but Battlefield has always focused on the multiplayer.

8.5 / 10.0 - Nier: Automata
Mar 27, 2017

I wasn't particularly hyped for NieR: Automata before its release but as soon as I started playing, I was hooked. The stellar storytelling, the rich plot, the varied gameplay, the challenging enemies that forced me to change my tactics again and again, all contributed to an enjoyable experience. The game isn't without it's flaws however, as it suffered from repetition in the second half as well as mediocre visuals for the environments and using a conversation system that's beneath it.

Mass Effect Andromeda does not follow the Mass Effect series very closely, yet Bioware has injected it with some of the elements that made the previous entries successful. Yet these elements alone weren't enough to compensate for the empty world, superficial characters, technical issues, and more. The gameplay experience will definitely be unique to each player and the level of enjoyment will depend on how attached the player is to the series.

10 / 10.0 - Persona 5
Apr 15, 2017

The beauty of a game like Persona 5 is its ability to perfectly bring together all its different elements. The game will impress you with how it can balance between all its connected systems, and how it does so flawlessly. As you're walking around Tokyo, you'll be making lists of all the things you need for your upcoming trip to the Palaces. While you're at the Palaces, you'll be making lists of items you'll potentially need the next time around to boost your team's stats. You'll be immersed in the game's sights and sounds, and laugh along as your team members banter. You don't just play the game, you experience it with all your senses. This is what Persona offers. It sucks you into its world and you'll find yourself thinking about it without realizing as if it's a second life you've always wanted to live.

7.5 / 10.0 - Little Nightmares
Apr 24, 2017

Without a doubt, Little Nightmares is a visual treat. After a while, the dark and gritty environment begins to affect you, and the soundtrack elevates the feeling of dread in this brilliantly designed game. The characters you come across are varied enough to always present a new challenge and the game is generally a pleasure to play and even fall in love with. However, it's downsides, such as a lack of a clear story, steals a sense of purpose from the actions that you have to perform.

I have to admit that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 has some standout moments, particularly during the main campaign. Had CI Games focused on these moments instead of presenting a dull and empty open world to traverse around (rather quickly), they might have been able to deliver a stellar sniping game. During its best moments, you can't deny the sense of overwhelming satisfaction you get when you successfully sneak around the map without getting caught, and the thrill of taking out your target after that. However, that's all the enjoyment you're going to get from a game that's breaking under the weight of its own ambition.

7.2 / 10.0 - The Surge
May 29, 2017

The Surge has tried to rely on quality more than quantity, there are only 5 main zones for roaming and 5 leaders and events can be completed in less than 8 hours if the user avoids the majority of the confrontations and only run around the environment around him, in contrast the game offers a variety and changes in the design of weapons and enemies and their abilities - away from the leaders - but unfortunately each part suffers from a gap that contributed in one way or another to reduce the fun of events, whether the design of the same battles or leaders that did not bring anything new or the story, which could not keep it raised for a long time .

8.4 / 10.0 - Tekken 7
Jun 6, 2017

Tekken 7 may not have invested much effort in its simple story and unconnected events, but in turn has provided a style of play that combines simplicity and skill with a set of improvements that have made each battle possess its own character like Rage Drive and a huge list of more than 30 characters available to play with, including 9 New characters, and the ability to modify the appearance of any fighter, but unfortunately the game suffers from various problems in the Internet connection.

Ninja Theory has tried to provide a game with a distinctive fighting style with a strong story for the main character, a unique environment, and a promise of an experience that matches the games with huge budgets and at a lower price. I can say that the studio succeeded in its quest with Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice With 10 hours of gameplay fighting to save her beloved from the dark, in a dreary, bleak environment full of exciting and mysterious details, we are facing one of the most powerful games of the year, at a price of up to half of what other AAA games will cost you.

7.7 / 10.0 - Matterfall
Aug 14, 2017

Matterfall tried to combine classic 2D shooting games with platform jumping games and provided a good playing style, but despite the powerful abilities and weapons Avalon uses, you will often feel weak and nervous at times because of the difficulty of the game. I would've been pleased if they were added a cooperative mode to increase the fun, but instead the studio has made it possible to compare your scores with your friends and everyone who plays the game around the world to know your world ranking, making you want to go back to the game to reach the top ranking.

7.3 / 10.0 - Agents of Mayhem
Aug 16, 2017

Agents of Mayhem came out with great hopes, offering a wonderful open world and a unique style of play, with many unique characters to choose from, but faced a storyline that was used in many film and games, It was put to fill the void no more, I would have been pleased if a cooperative play mode was added to increase the fun that could have made us overlook the bad story just for the fun of playing with friends.

It is no secret that The Lost Legacy went on the same path as the previous part with its advantages and disadvantages. Its advantages are an exciting story that keeps the player constantly excited, well-designed characters and very precise puzzles, And adhere to the same settings without any change.

White Day: A Labyrinth Named School presents a thrilling story, the player is constantly surprised, the situations are very exciting, the chase is breathtaking, but it is very difficult in the second half of the events and confrontations that have been dominated by randomness and similar design to all the floors of the school, and also suffered from the level of the graphics that does not fit a game released in 2017.
