An understated and fun little survival simulator that is mostly well-balanced, and a small treat to play.
A really neat mix of mechanics and style leads Monster Energy Supercross 2 to be one of the strongest Motocross titles around.
Tries to do a whole lot and doesn't do it all perfectly, but certainly doesn't fail either.
Shadow Bug is a rich indie game with some rather creative ideas and some great level design, a surprisingly well-executed narrative and style, a constant barrage of challenges to keep you on your toes, and a unique gameplay premise that takes advantage of the Nintendo Switch’s unique abilities on a fun, but still challenging scale.
A bit of a step down from what came before, but still a solid and fun entry in the series, especially when playing with friends.
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair provides plenty of fun for fans of the platform genre. The game may have some small drawbacks, but it shines in most of what it sets out to do. In a world of dozens of platformers, it manages to hold its own.
BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition on Nintendo Switch is a really good game, but not without some setbacks. You won't find much activity if you're looking to play online, which is a huge bummer for gamers who aren't keen on playing with friends in person. The asking price is also a bit high, but other than that, you'll have a great time with this 2D fighting game.
Whatever missteps Ashen makes can be mostly overlooked, save for the worlds rarely unforgiving nature. This was a journey that enticed me from start to finish, and I pray to The Lord Bruce Lee that it'll do the same to you.
Metro Exodus is worth a playthrough, even if some of its components need a little work. The game does a brilliant job of building an enticing atmosphere in its many environments while telling a compelling story. The gunplay and crafting system are interesting enough to carry you until the end, even if some of the characters aren't. It's a lengthy adventure, one that I took about a couple dozen to get through.
Brawlhalla is a phenomenal platform fighter that will find its way to the most competitive players in the genre.
Standard Roguelike Fare. Fun, but doesn't add anything.
A great gateway title for roguelikes, and a great game on its own rights.
Darkest Dungeon manages to make turn-based combat terrifying for entirely different reasons.
Pikuniku is worth your money and time. It may not be a revolutionary work of high art, but it’s definitely enjoyable. I’d recommend buying it for the Nintendo Switch so you can play it in pieces, but the PC version (which I played) is perfectly acceptable. This is a game I’m going to tell my friends about and get them to buy.
While it might not be up to the same kookiness of previous titles from SWERY, The MISSING has other reasons to make you stay, leaving you shook and heart-broken with a stop-start narrative, and an gameplay gimmick that doesn't overstay its welcome.
A graciously-executed fighting game, with enough fairly unique content to satisfy you for tens of hours.
A Way Out is one of the best co-op experiences out there. A great storyline and various possibilities make for a great and intriguing experience.
A moving story of miniature apocalypses as a larger one blazes in the background.
With all the new additions I think this is a great sequel to a great game allowing new people and already experienced players to have a wonderful time. I definitely would recommend Hands of Fate II.
Assassins Creed Origins is the best title in the series to date. With an intriguing story, an impressive open world and the best combat in the series, Origins is a game I highly recommend for hours of fun.
