It offers some solid worldbuilding, a likeable lead, several funny moments, quality voice acting, and a few half-decent cutscenes for an indie title. Unfortunately, it seems it needed a few more seasons of its own before being anywhere near ready for release.
It’s not quite everything you imagined and there is surely more action to come, but for now, there are plenty of chips and dip on the table, so don’t mind me while I dig in and dance around with my friends.
Control AWE is a no-brainer for those who are invested in Control’s franchise. Sure, there aren’t many that exist right now, and Tony Hawk’s Pro-Skater may give both Skater XL and Sessions a run for their money this upcoming generation, but as it stands, Skater XL forgoes the Fakie and Pop’s a sweet Ollie above the rest. I’m excited by its potential, and the surprises Easy Day have in-store for this title. Now, get out there and grind.
Fairy Tail: The Game is a fun time for established fans who are familiar with the lore of its original source material, but its gaming adaptations would certainly benefit with a prequel initiating some form of introduction to newcomers.
While darkness may reign, there is light at the end of the tunnel that leads to hope and an eventual end to despair, and Roki translates this message with in immense level of character, and lovable charm. Roki is an essential, and a must play in 2020.
Hopefully both new and long-time fans will still find something they will love here, because it would be a terrible shame if this game wasn’t viewed as it’s own piece, and just “Not-The-Thousand-Year-Door”.

My love for Sword Art Online will remain firm, and Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris resuscitates its stimulus to create an incredible gaming chapter for this marvelous franchise.
