JRPG fans who aren't familiar with the franchise will certainly enjoy Fairy Tail, but this game is clearly targeted towards fans, who will likely love this game.
There are a few annoyances, but CrossCode is a fantastically crafted action RPG that is full of charm and crisp gameplay. Fans of The Legend of Zelda and those who just like retro RPGs will find plenty to love. Don't sleep on this special experience.
Desperados III is the kind of game that prioritizes fun above all else, and it manages to do so without sacrificing the oomph of its story or depth of its mechanics.
Super Mega Baseball 3 is easily one of the most satisfying modern baseball games available. It’s not as flashy as bigger titles like The Show, but it more than makes up for it with fantastic gameplay and a surprising amount of depth. This is a must-play for baseball fans, regardless of how casual or hardcore they are.
Dread Nautical is chock-full of charm and finds the perfect balance of difficulty to be accessible to someone who’s more interested in story than advanced tactics while still having appeal for genre veterans at harder settings.
Fans of the classic run and gun shooters will find plenty to enjoy in Fury Unleashed. Those who like roguelike elements will certainly appreciate the challenge and the unique combo system. It's not revolutionary, but it's an enjoyable experience that easy to pick up and play by yourself or with a friend.
It almost feels wrong to be so harsh on Daymare, because a lot of the gameplay issues seem to be things that could be fixed if it had come from a larger studio with more time, money, or hands to put into the project. It does seem that the developers were very earnest and passionate about making their game and if it were more fun or interesting to play I could look past the poor writing, but unfortunately, there are just too many flaws for me to recommend it in good conscience.
Path of Giants is really more of a dwarf – short but still solidly built.
A cute and colourful side-scrolling shooter, taking its cue from animes and Japanese games, which makes for a fun and hilarious experience.
A fun and loving tribute to the classics in JRPGs, there's more than enough to love in the characters and atmosphere to bridge the gap between the game and the story.
Underneath its aging kinks there waits a game that’s utterly compelling that is infinitely re-playable. The combat has no match in Star Wars games to this day, and it offers countless possibilities to suit yourself with. It manages to capture so many different facets of Star Wars and does so with a genuine love for every bit of it.
