8.5 / 10.0 - Nidhogg 2
Sep 10, 2017

The gameplay of Nidhogg 2 is incredibly smooth and each button press flows into the next, removing the focus on the controller and allowing the player to soak in the numerous advances MESSHOF has made as they poured their time into making a new and refreshing version of their previous title.

If you're a newcomer to Resident Evil, this is not the place to start. Go with this year's Resident Evil 7 if you're looking for something innovative, modern and terrifying. If pure action is what you're after, the remastered editions of Resident Evil 4 and 5 are much easier recommendations.

So, my final verdict is pretty simple. Is Oh...Sir! The Insult Simulator worth buying? Yes, most definitely. I had a lot of fun playing it, and there's a ton of replay value here to justify a sale.

If you like good, creepy atmosphere, a world that draws you in, and a well done narrative, then you should probably give this horror game a try.

8 / 10.0 - Sine Mora EX
Aug 29, 2017

If you love bullet hell shoot 'em ups and have the patience to master your moves, there's a lot of bang for your buck here, especially if you owned the original Sine Mora; anyone who bought the original version can upgrade to EX for free. The campaign is short, but there's plenty of replay value in the various alternate modes for people looking to push themselves in pursuit of the leaderboard glory or just waste some time with a buddy.

When you get right down to it, there isn't much that needs to be said about this game. After five entries in the franchise, spanning ten years and three different systems, you know if Uncharted is your kind of game. If you're new to the series, this isn't the place to start.

Overall, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is mostly a triumph. The few issues that do exist aren't enough to detract from the overall quality of the underlying game, and most of the updates, upgrades and tweaks really work in the game's favor. For too long, Square Enix has let one of their most compelling and ambitious games languish while lesser titles received multiple and unnecessary re-releases.

The Long Dark is a satisfying experience of survival that is both realistic and has good game mechanics.

9 / 10.0 - SUPERHOT
Jul 23, 2017

Super Hot is a first person shooter unlike any other. It's very narrative driven, mind blowing, fps similar to games such as Portal or The Stanley Parable. It's quite the mind trip and the time driven game mechanic is actually a lot of fun. Just be prepared to run around saying "Super Hot" in your head for the next few days. It's short but sweet and well worth the trip into this virtual world.

The game is equal parts scary and interesting, as I said before, is not an experience I'm likely to forget about anytime soon.

All in all definitely worth at least one playthrough.

I want to call this a fairly solid game and maybe if some of the technical issues are resolved and online gameplay is added, it could be a pretty solid game. As of right now it's just mediocre but it has its moments. If you like sniping games such as previous Sniper games or Elite Sniper, you'll probably like this one.

7.8 / 10.0 - Layers of Fear
Jul 13, 2016

All in all Layers of Fear was a fun experience and honestly was a bit of fresh air compared to the multitude of horror games that have been coming out lately (not that I'm complaining).

7.8 / 10.0 - Mighty No. 9

However, this must be said. Although it truly is not quite as good, with Capcom letting Mega Man collect dust in his cryogenic pod until the year 21XX, this is definitely a serviceable replacement, especially at its affordable price-tag. With a few minor control issues you'll eventually overcome, it isn't mind blowing nor is it exceptionally special in its own right.

8 / 10.0 - Doom

For those of us returning home for that rare visit, it's a fun game that'll bring you back to the good ol' days. For everyone else, it's just another game of Euchre..

No matter where Uncharted goes from here, this will go down in history as one of the finest achievements ever seen, not merely due to its obvious technical and creative merits, but because it can magically connect the player to this endlessly immersive world and its inhabitants. When you're done, Nathan Drake could feel more real to you than any fictional character you've encountered in games or movies. For me, that's what I'll miss most.

When it comes to replay value it's all over the place. You've got all 9 girls to take on vacation as much or as little as you want, tons of stuff to buy, relationships to build, and preferences to learn. I mentioned before that the relaxed feel of goofing off on the island was like popping a pill, well as you know pills can be addicting.

If you are looking for replayability, its packed into the gathering of goodies and the likely chance that you will want to feel this story again one day whether you are gay or straight, boy or girl. It is delicate and strong, it is close to masterful.

9.2 / 10.0 - Ratchet & Clank

The Ratchet and Clank remake hearkens back to a very different time. It wasn't even that long ago and yet, it was indeed very different. But I'm not going to focus on past vs.

8 / 10.0 - Dark Souls III
Apr 7, 2016

In the end, however, Dark Souls III is indeed a proper homage to an excellent franchise. It delivers precisely what the fans wanted, and it may be some time before we see another IP that so successfully puts a player on intimate terms with his or her own ability. The learning process is different than in any other series I've played and that's a very special achievement.
