8 / 10.0 - Okami HD
Feb 9, 2018

While the audio visual overhaul is definitely welcome, it really is a shame that some of the aspects of the game did not receive any modernization, because for as unique and engaging as Okami still is, it often feels like a game trapped in the past, preventing it from being as good as it could be. Ultimately it's worth the ride, especially if you've passed on previous chances to play it.

Ultimate Chicken Horse is a simple game isn't the kind of game you pick up and play every night, as it benefits most from fresh bouts of sadistic creativity, but for the $20 price tag, it's one of the best pick-up-and-play party games you'll find on the PS4.

6.5 / 10.0 - Black Mirror
Jan 21, 2018

This game needed a little more time getting cleaned up and fixed. If some of the bugs were fixed we could have had a gem on our hands. But alas, what we have is a potentially good game that's not really broken persay but definitely needs some mending.

7 / 10.0 - Alteric
Nov 16, 2017

Alteric probably is going to fall by the wayside when it's all said and done. Which is a bit unfortunate. It has potential and if you give it a chance it's a good way to kill a few hours with a challenging platformer if you're into that kind of thing.

There's not much to Save the Ninja Clan, but there doesn't really need to be. It's simple, fast, brutal and great fun in short bursts, without any of the baggage that comes from other games in the genre.

The shooting is solid, the graphics are fine, the sound design and musical score are acceptable if uninspired, and yet the game is significantly less than the sum of its parts. At its best it is proof that Activision's stable of developers has run out of ideas, returning to World War II for no other reason than they didn't know where else to go.

7.5 / 10.0 - Jydge

If you played Neon Chrome or other similar isometric twin stick shooters and enjoyed them I would recommend giving this one a go. At first glance it doesn't seem like much but once you get into the meat of it you'll realize that there is more then meets the eye. The game is short but has some depth.

8 / 10.0 - Oure
Nov 10, 2017

In the end, Oure won me over as an indie title with a lot of heart, and absolutely has me begging to know what other secrets I missed as I soared through the clouds.

Last Recode has its highs and lows, but overall I think that as a bundle it has a great amount of value to it. Players have the ability to play as Haseo and go to different areas after the main quest indefinitely, allowing fans to live out the last days of The World R2 forever, or play high definition versions of their favorite decade old game. Regardless, the closure that Last Recode brings is probably the greatest feature this title could bring, and that means we can rest a little easier tonight.

8 / 10.0 - Burly Men At Sea
Nov 2, 2017

Burly Men at Sea will definitely charm you though. And although it can get repetitive if you try to get all the endings for the game, the stories are all well written and it's exciting to see what happens next.

It could best be summed up as "Inglourious Basterds meets Fast and Furious" – a multicultural group of irreverent, colorful characters on a globetrotting quest to ruin Hitler's day, week and life in a fantastic revenge fantasy setting.

7 / 10.0 - Fragments of Him
Oct 29, 2017

If you're interested in a good story, this 2 hour game is a good one and well worth it. If you're looking for more interactivity and gameplay, you may want to pass. The message of this game is very touching and bittersweet though.

8 / 10.0 - Detention 返校
Oct 17, 2017

Detention likely will not win over many people who aren't already fans of either survival horror or adventure games, and that's a damn shame. While the game has some pacing issues, and a few puzzles can only be described as having illogical solutions you'll mostly come to simply through attrition, this game is a triumph.

6.5 / 10.0 - The Coma: Recut

Coma: Recut has some good things going for it. It has great atmosphere and a great artstyle and sound design. It even starts out as a pretty decent horror game but unfortunately that only last so long.

3.7 / 10.0 - Surf World Series

Perhaps one day a true surfing game will emerge that will change the way we view and grade other surfing game, much like the Skate franchise did for skateboading, but until that day arrives please stay out of these waters.

8.5 / 10.0 - Hob
Sep 27, 2017

Hob is definitely a game that is larger than the sum of its parts, which come together almost perfectly to create a truly singular adventure. Hob not have the AAA budget and polish of the franchises it draws inspiration from, but it has lots of heart and something to say, which is impressive for a game without a single spoken word.

You may not want to play through again (I still might at some point though) since there isn't much after you beat it, but it's worth it to at least go through Senua's journey once.

8 / 10.0 - Project CARS 2
Sep 23, 2017

Slightly Mad Studios seems to have aspirations towards this being the next big thing in e-sports racing, and while they've got the foundation to do that, key elements of the game will need to be addressed. In a genre starving for fresh blood, Project Cars 2 is a welcome addition, but also a currently incomplete one..

9.5 / 10.0 - Destiny 2
Sep 12, 2017

With the exception of some questionable choices regarding microtransactions, Destiny 2 is a game that improves upon the original considerably, in every key area. This is, without question, Bungie's best work yet.
