Critic Reviews for Dungeon Rushers
Despite all that it’s lacking, such as an interesting stories and characters, sophisticated or innovative combat mechanics, and compelling game-play outside of the dungeon, Dungeon Rushers can provide an entertaining experience for genre fans. It’s chock full of humor, has a colorful nostalgic visual style and has solid combat mechanics offering a decent challenge.
Goblinz Studios' tactical RPG for iOS and Android is tough but fair, offering exactly zero avenues that allow players to pay to win
If you’re in the mood for a simple dungeon crawler to kill a few minutes, Dungeon Rushers is nicely affordable. Anyone else, you might want to upgrade to Hero Quest. You’ve got a few friends right?
For the most part, I really did enjoy my time in Dungeon Rushers. The game is funny, has solid combat, a crafting system, and fully customizable skill tree for the whole party. If you're looking for something you can just jump in and out of, it's certainly not a bad game and it's at its best in bite sized gaming.
Gameplay in Dungeon Rushers is fun, easy to start and enjoyable to play. I really liked the campy dialogue and innocent approach to a diverse dungeon crawling genre. The crafting was designed well to accompany the materials acquired from grinding through the game. Unfortunately, with strong enemies appearing early and often, balancing is a serious issue, one that requires needless visits to small dungeons. Forcing players to replay dungeons so early on impeded my progress, and ultimately deterred me from playing further. It just seems to me that the developers missed the point with their own hero-parody style and missed an opportunity. If it was a short dungeon crawler, it wouldn’t really be in the same genre, but more enjoyment could be had if I could actually progress through the game.
Despite Dungeon Rushers' many, many technical flaws, the core experience is solid. I can't recommend this game to everyone, but hardcore RPG fans looking for a simple, no-pressure RPG to play while watching TV should consider Dungeon Rushers.
Dungeon Rushers is a fun and very addictive turn-based dungeon crawler you'll have a lot of fun with on PlayStation 4. There's a ton of content to enjoy, several characters to create your party with, and their separate skill trees and unique skills will allow you to find the right combination for the hundreds of battles you will take on, which makes this a solid dungeon crawler with a good asking price for the many hours of fun you'll get out of your purchase.
