Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted is a bad port. There isn’t really any other way to state it. While this concept sounds great and even works fine in the world of virtual reality, no thought or proper usage of the Switch makes Help Wanted feel broken and shallow.
While Minecraft Dungeons is a fantastic title to introduce your kids to isometric action RPGs, the lack of content and missing quality of life features makes the game fall short.
Maneater is a bloody good time filled with great comedic pieces and tons of marine and human life to tear through but is a bit too repetitive for its own good.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered may not offer any new content but its strong writing and crass humor hold it together through a graphical upgrade that brings the 3rd Street Saints back to life once again.
Mafia II: Definitive Edition offers a fantastic tale combined with a solid set of visual upgrades. Unfortunately, it is hampered by bugs and some missing quality of life upgrades.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix offers traditional rhythm gameplay alongside a highly enjoyable motion based Mix Mode in a package featuring some of the best Vocaloid songs available finally making their debut on the Switch.
While the game may be buggy, it’s still a fantastic new take on the long running franchise for veterans and new players alike.
Predator: Hunting Grounds has solid legs but repetitive objectives and poor balancing muddy what could have been a new take on asymmetrical multiplayer.
Deliver Us The Moon will keep players hooked with an interesting mystery and new mechanics at a regular pace but predictability and performance issues hinder journey into space.
Treachery in Beatdown City struggles with a few quality of life issues and a story that will be a hit or miss.
Streets of Rage is back and better than ever. The latest entry has all the gameplay and fun factor polished to perfection.
Fort Triumph is a solid game that does justice to the two franchises that inspired development. While there are some quality of life issues that need to be ironed out, fans of turn based strategic combat will enjoy this new take on the genre.
Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is an absurd game that is rough around the edges but manages to pull itself together nice enough to tell a survival story unlike any other.
A Cat Girl Without Salad: Amuse-Bouche is a fine game that is well worth the price of admission. This is the kind of game you need to get when you have some credit on your Switch and just want something easy and fun to play, and the content should please anyone wanting a laugh or a quick getaway from reality.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 captures the crazy abilities of the One Piece world and translates them perfectly into a brawler that has its issues but will be great for fans of the series.
Code Shifter is a solid enough action platformer for fans of Arc System Works' properties but doesn't deliver much in the way of original content.
Langrisser I & II may have seen some poor graphical improvements but this pair of SPRGs offer some great challenging gameplay and plenty of content.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Coteries of New York boasts a strong story set in an already rich world
Things may start slow but once Animal Crossing: New Horizons gets going players will find themselves sucked into an idyllic world for potentially years to come, even if it is only for short periods of time each sitting.
While figuring out the right set of moves can be frustrating, Iron Danger is a unique RPG-style combat experience combined with a strong story and audio/visual presentation.
