Atomic Heart is a good game. It is not the miracle that was expected in 2017, when the first images of Mundfish's uchrony went around the world, promising interaction that is far from the truth today. The title, however, is solid, with an engaging (but already seen) storyline, a dense setting (that could have given more), and a broken combat system. On the whole, Atomic Heart will not revolutionize the action RPG genre, but I am convinced that it will make its way into the "must have" list of all fans. Then again, it is not always mandatory to change the world, but the important thing is that there is quality, and this is not lacking in Atomic Heart.

Company of Heroes 3 is a triumph, the worthy sequel to one of the most appreciated sagas of real-time strategists, as well as a great gift to the community. Disruptive gameplay, enriched for the occasion by many appreciated new features and improvements of sorts, blends together with a spectacle on the visual level, giving us back warlike confrontations as never seen before. In short, Relic has definitely hit the mark and raised the qualitative bar once again.

Did Like a Dragon Isshin, therefore, have the charisma needed to put itself forward in a new market? The process of rejuvenation and restructuring conducted by SEGA was directed at tailoring a product to the level of expectations.

Wild Hearts is a well-crafted, fun and very promising title in the long run, accomplice also and above all to EA and Omega Force's already manifested willingness to offer their hunting game a post-launch support worthy of the name.

Horizon Call of the Mountain is the first major PlayStation VR2 exclusive, a game that respects the technical/graphic premise of the Horizon series very well, certifying what is undoubtedly the most visually beautiful video game ever seen on virtual reality. Beyond that, Firesprite and Guerrilla's game is a classic VR title, rather linear and not a surprising gameplay. Undoubtedly an excellent product that works, entertains and expands the Horizon universe, as well as an excellent base for the PS VR2.

Metroid Prime Remastered is simply the new benchmark on how a remastered should be done. Graphical compartment redone from scratch, an optimization capable of delivering unthinkable performance on Nintendo Switch, and a full-bodied set of quality-of-life improvements are just a splendid adornment to a first-person adventure (don't call it an FPS if you don't get mad) that hasn't aged a day in the last two decades. A more than recommended purchase if you love the genre, both for those who have never known the series and for those who are just waiting to hear when the long-awaited fourth installment will arrive.

Initially Wanted: Dead seems to pull it off, when one still appreciates its pleasurable imagery and is becoming familiar with its gameplay layout. It takes very little, however, for big and small wrinkles to come up, again and again, making the experience unsatisfying, frustrating, repetitive. Something is saved, of Soleil's game, but absolutely not enough to make it even vaguely enjoyable.

Hi-Fi Rush has proven to be a fun title with extremely satisfying gameplay. It seems almost absurd that a team like Tango Gameworks has managed to package such an experience, but when you look at the historian of legendary producer Shinji Mikami, everything makes sense. Hi-Fi Rush inherits that naïve spirit, totally devoted to fun and gameplay, typical of productions such as Viewtiful Joe and God Hand, of that Clover Studio that was a new home for Mikami and Kamiya after the abandonment of Capcom. Director John Johanas has succeeded in the feat, demonstrating a captivating and well-packaged vision.

Dead Space is an authentic remake, revised and improved in every way from what we had come to love and appreciate back in 2008. EA Motive has not only lavishly improved the entire technical aspect of the original product, but has further enhanced the entire experience, making the Ishimura a frightening death trap, capable of terrorizing and concealing a story that is still fascinating today.

Square Enix and Luminous Production's attempt to create a new IP by combining various unusual elements and different cultural approaches is certainly appreciable, but there are several slightings that make Forspoken only half a successful title.

Fire Emblem Engage is, first and foremost, an excellent turn-based strategy that succeeds in the complex task of limiting many of the elements that weighed down the gameplay of the previous chapter to offer battles that put the player's reasoning at the center of the action.

One Piece Odyssey is a rather classic JRPG, but one that manages to have a say with a fun and dynamic combat system.

Chained Echoes is a JRPG that captivates thanks to a centered and smooth narrative. The story told, classic but nonetheless engaging, impresses especially because of its protagonists. If nothing else, it is amazing how one person managed to come up with such a work, succeeding in the complex attempt to get to the goal and surprise. A unique way to bring nostalgics and newcomers alike closer to a genre that is always fascinating.

High On Life is quirky and self-consciously absurd as a video game. Its comedy is the most divisive aspect, and if you love the style of Rick and Morty then you will find gags, Easter egg and situations that will make you crack up with laughter, but otherwise in the long run it may be all too irritating and repetitive.

Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is still not the production that miniatures game enthusiasts and Vermintide lovers were expecting. In what is the core of the gameplay experience, the slaughter of hordes of enemies, it works just fine, and diving into that riot of death leads to a macabre ecstasy. Lacking, however, is an adequate structure to support the ludics: too slender progression, poor variety of missions, questionable solutions implemented in the two stores.

Need For Speed Unbound is undoubtedly a good game, but it is sad to note that it could have been more. Criterion relies, perhaps a bit lazily, on the seeded Ghost Games, rehashing what is the skeleton (and little more) of the previous Heat. After 3 years of development, the result is almost inexplicable, and indeed it is unfortunate that a team like Criterion, which has rewritten the rules of the game at least a couple of times, now finds itself in the position of tracing the work of those who preceded it (as well as rehashing part of its past).

Master of Magic is back in a big way for the occasion after many, many years. Its unmistakable style, made great by the approach of MuHa Games and Slitherine Software, brings it back to 2022 in a more polished and improved version. The gameplay, which has remained virtually unchanged, is the real highlight of the work, in addition to an absolutely off-the-charts context, the child of excellent management of the production's lore. The magic is back. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

Signalis is a one-of-a-kind work. Uniquely curated and thorough, it tells a moving and detailed story that easily seeps into the player's skin and soul. The puzzles, never complex, are carefully implemented, prompting the player to think carefully about his moves. It is certainly nothing new on the market, but it is a work that faithfully reflects the past, projecting into a future to be discovered.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion is a masterful remaster of a little more than adequate game. Not a bad game, in fact it is still a decent action RPG that will keep you entertained for about 20-30 hours of play. However, in terms of substance and narrative responsibility it leaves much to be desired.
