Starfield is the sci-fi fantasy game that you've been waiting for. To truly enjoy and get the full experience of this space RPG, you must fully invest your time and multiple playthroughs to get the best from it. With a compelling story and a vast universe to explore, Starfield will have you coming back for more. Some elements like the inventory and weight allowance take away from the enjoyment early on, but if you battle through, Starfield will take you on a wild adventure. One of the best games XBOX has released in many years!
Sea of Stars is a masterpiece;,to put it bluntly. It’s just excellent across the board – visuals, gameplay, sound and performance all run smoothly. The story is epic and there’s enough depth into the world for you to feel like you’re paying homage to the JRPG classics and discovering something new, never slowing down and never tiring of these characters or the setting.
Fae Farm lives up to its promise of combining cozy farming sim with combat that doesn't lean too much towards one side or the other. It comes with an addictive gameplay loop and three magical dungeons so you could decorate the home and land of your dreams, making this a polished single-player or co-op experience with striking visuals and an incredibly memorable soundtrack.
Immortals of Aveum is a fun, bombastic Crysis-like game that has more at home with Call of Duty than anything else; all spells blazing. Nothing is new and its path is well trodden; but what you get is a fun exercise in the formula with stellar cinematics that give the story just the right amount of narrative heft that it needs to thrive. Expect something akin to a summer blockbuster movie – easily digestible; fun in the moment – but you’ll forget this after you’ve completed your playthrough. Hurt by its release coming right out before Starfield that won’t help matters as there are more attractive titles elsewhere; but for those who want to try something new – it’s worth waiting for in a sale.
En Garde! is the swashbuckling adventure you didn't realize you needed this summer. The fencing mechanic adds unique gameplay to a theatrical story jam-packed with fun characters, rich and colourful environments, and real-time dodging and parrying. An Arena Mode will keep you coming back for more, but the difficulty curve is definitely something to look out for.
Though the story falls short of the mark, stunning visuals help give the game a solid and polished feel. The immersive and dynamic combat gameplay however is the game's best asset, giving players full customisation of their playstyle and bringing the world to life. A good choice for a breezy and fast-paced gaming experience.
The new and returning creatures of Pikmin 4 are charming and delightful in every way possible. The new entry in the franchise is about as casual as a real-time strategy game can be with a handful of visual upgrades, calculated boss battles and a variety in Pikmins that will keep you treasure-hunting for hours on end. It is, without a doubt, a very solid addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.
Despite its setbacks there’s enough about The Outer Worlds to like – it’s engaging, fast paced and entertaining: the world-building loses steam when it gets past a certain point and it can feel repetitive but like most RPGS it’s what you put into it, a pretty thrilling experience when all is said and done that deserves its own place in the gaming pantheon. The characters are likeable and well acted; and there's plenty of missions to keep you there on top of that - with a choice-based structure that puts you front and centre in the narrative. More depth would've been useful to truly flesh it out but for what it is it's a real accomplishment, and the fact that there's enough of a game here to make it worth the investement really is something that's worth the price of the bundle alone; just for this - anything else is a bonus. There's a solid 30+ hour game here.
Lara Croft's debut on the Nintendo Switch provides hours of endless fun with two Tomb Raider adventures jam-packed with inventive platforming puzzles, fast-paced arcade combat and 2-4 player co-op. The isometric viewpoint and stylized gameplay of Guardian of Light and Temple of Osiris might not please casual players of the series, but there is definitely something for everyone in this unique, rewarding collection.

Diablo IV is a highly enjoyable and rewarding addition to a franchise that set the standard for all action role-playing games more than 11 years ago. Its vast open world delivers a fully immersive experience that offers a solid foundation, setting the stage for future seasonal content expansions. Highly recommended for new and dedicated fans of the genre.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an awe-inspiring masterpiece that surpasses its predecessor, Breath of the Wild, in every way.
