Skull and Bones isn’t a bad game, but it’s far from exceptional—it’s average at best. While it offers enjoyable gameplay and a uniquely realized pirate world with stunning visual design, it falls short on innovation and lacks the key elements that turn games into truly memorable experiences.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash draws heavily from the anime, which is evident in most of the story’s cinematic scenes. While the music and overall design added a distinctive charm that made parts of the adventure enjoyable, the short story length and the game’s overall ease made its price feel unjustified.

As a long-awaited and free return, Silent Hill: The Short Message delivered on expectations with a story true to the spirit of the Silent Hill series, featuring well-crafted environments and a good variety in music. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora feels more like a simulation of Na’vi life than a true exploratory adventure. It had the potential to be exceptional, thanks to its stunning realisation of the world of Pandora. However, the shallow story, repetitive mission design, and poorly implemented navigation system turned it into a missed opportunity.

6.5 / 10.0 - Quantum Error
Oct 30, 2023

Quantum Error managed to present an intriguing story, but its impact would have been far greater had it been adapted into a cinematic work rather than a video game. Despite featuring some exciting ideas, it falls into several pitfalls. It’s a clearly ambitious project, but one that ultimately suffers from limited resources — had those been available, the game could have delivered a much stronger and more refined experience.

8 / 10.0 - Starfield
Sep 19, 2023

From the very first moment, Starfield impresses with its grand ambition — from its expansive world and attention to detail, to its captivating side quests and enjoyable gameplay mechanics. However, it ultimately falls short of the high expectations placed upon it, due to several disappointing factors — most notably poor AI, excessive repetition, and, perhaps most dishearteningly, a lacklustre approach to exploration, which was expected to be the core of the adventure. Starfield is a good game, but one that would have felt far more impressive had it been released a few years earlier.
