Pokémon Legends Z/A pushes the series forward in some ways, but takes several steps back in others. It offers a solid story and a memorable cast, yet its weak exploration and limited regions feel like a noticeable downgrade from the previous game. The combat system brings fresh and creative ideas, but it’s still far from polished or fully realized. Overall, the game delivers a fun Pokémon experience, but not the major evolution fans hoped for as the opening title of the Nintendo Switch 2 era.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger isn’t just aimed at longtime fans who have been waiting for a worthy entry in the series, but it's also an excellent entry point for new players. It presents an exciting story with an interesting world and memorable characters. And despite some of the technical issues and other shortcomings, the addictive gameplay is more than enough to immerse you in a distinctive RPG experience that takes the series a significant step forward.

Not every game we wait for lives up to our expectations when it finally releases. Although Lost Soul Aside offers solid gameplay, it fails in almost everything else. Whether it's the dull story, the forgettable characters, the weak dialogue writing, or even the voice acting and the cinematics that simply don’t measure up for a game at this price. Combined with the flimsy level design and the shallow puzzles, the end product is unfortunately flawed and far removed from what the early trailers showed and promised.

Releasing Onimusha 2 again makes sense as a lead-up to the new game in the series, Way of the Sword, coming in 2026. It’s also a way to introduce the game to new players. I wish there were some new features or improvements, but it’s still nice to be able to play this game on modern devices. This also shows how Capcom has been keeping its classic games alive by re-releasing them over the past few years.

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition stands as one of the most ambitious JRPGs ever created in terms of its world and content. While this scale comes at the expense of elements that once distinguished the series — particularly in storytelling and other areas — it still delivers an experience that no JRPG fan should miss. With this release, the Nintendo Switch becomes home to a legendary series whose level of ambition is rarely seen in today's market.

While it's always interesting to see some of the games stuck on older consoles back and re-introduced in modern versions, unfortunately, many of these games show the effects of time in various aspects, and Freedom Wars is one of them. While the gameplay and combat are fun, that's not enough to overcome the game's many drawbacks.
