8.5 / 10.0 - RoadCraft
Oct 25, 2025

RoadCraft offers a different direction compared to MudRunner. It delivers an enjoyable simulation experience with stunning graphics, excellent mission design, and balanced realism without excessive complexity. Additionally, the concept of building your own company and fleet, featuring a wide variety of vehicles with very distinct functions, brings continuous freshness to the gameplay. It is similar to what Forza Horizon series did for Forza Motorsport in terms of content diversity and the abundance of activities. Despite some issues with physics, the absence of nighttime environments, and certain AI problems, it remains one of the best games from Saber Interactive and one of the finest simulation experiences available

8.5 / 10.0 - Borderlands 4
Sep 23, 2025

Borderlands 4 delivered a rich experience that blends the series' usual chaos with clever innovation. The planet Kairos stands out with its diverse environments and dynamic interactions, with gameplay supported by new movement mechanics that encourage exploration and open up innovative encounters. Weapons offer great variety with the new licensed parts system, while new skills and a massive skill tree add even more depth to character customization. The post-end content is very good for a start, including many challenges and intense boss encounters. Despite some technical issues and inconsistencies in the quality of some weapon companies, this installment remains a mature and ambitious step in the series' trajectory, offering content that is worth experiencing for Borderlands fans.

Although Hollow Knight: Silksong is not a perfect experience, and its flaws could have been easily avoided, it remains a great experience and a successful sequel to one of the most amazing indie games. Most aspects of the combat style and level design have evolved significantly, demonstrating the maturity of Team Cherry, which has preserved and even surpassed the great visual and audio experience of the first installment. So if you want a challenging Metroidvania experience packed with content, Silksong will definitely not disappoint.

There is no doubt that developing a Rogue-lite game is one of the most difficult challenges for developers in terms of design philosophy, trying to convince players to continue after losing, but Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree has succeeded in overcoming this obstacle thanks to the different play styles available for playable characters, gathering the necessary resources in each run to develop them, opening dialogues for side characters and completing their stories in Shinju Village even when losing, addictive gameplay accompanied by attractive graphics, and finally, a superb music album, all of which contributed to creating a unique experience.

8 / 10.0 - Hell Is Us
Sep 12, 2025

Hell is Us offers a unique experience that blends free exploration and symbolic storytelling within a mysterious world torn apart by war. The game features meticulous environmental design and an immersive atmosphere that enhances feelings of isolation and curiosity, supported by an intelligent exploration system that rewards attention, and solid combat that gains depth thanks to abilities and equipment. The main missions take the form of investigations and evidence gathering, while side missions add a human dimension and interesting environmental challenges. Clever puzzles and a drone also contribute to the variety and richness of the gameplay. Despite the limited variety of weapons, repetitive enemies, and unsatisfying ending, Hell is Us remains a worthwhile experience for those looking for a game that respects the player's intelligence and offers a richly detailed world.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is a historic game that brought together all the elements of a successful game, including a great story, interconnected gameplay systems, and excellent level design. These elements created a great combination that made it the best part of the series and one of the best games in history. However, as for the Delta version, despite my great admiration for its fidelity to the original game and the excellent improvements to the controls and user interface, I still find it insufficient compared to the remakes of this era. More effort could have been put into developing it to make it a better and more modern experience, rather than just being a new version of the third installment like Subsistence.

After the success of Silent Hill 2, Cronos: The New Dawn became a real challenge for Bloober Team, and the studio proved that it was capable of delivering a game with a great story that maintained its mystery until the end, provided the necessary information at the right time, and was supported by various narrative tools. The studio offered varied gameplay, supported by multiple gameplay elements, the most prominent and best of which was the survival element, and succeeded in delivering horror in many forms. The world design is beautiful, both in its outdoor and indoor environments. and the instantaneous time travel must be commended. Despite all of this, the lack of Arabic language support is considered a negative, along with other issues such as the lack of a personal skill bag and the voice acting of the characters at the beginning of the game, which even affected the delivery of the impact and information.

Mafia: The Old Country largely follows in the footsteps of the first two installments in the series, possessing nearly the same strengths and weaknesses, but failing to deliver on its best aspects with the same level of brilliance. The story is good, but it doesn't live up to the brilliance of the previous installments, and the gameplay and mission design suffer from numerous issues, in addition to being another release riddled with the usual technical flaws of the Unreal Engine 5. All of this makes The Old Country a good experience, nothing more. It has its beautiful and enjoyable moments, but in return, it has a fair share of flaws.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers is one of the best Souls-like games inspired by FromSoftware's games. Wuchang offers an enjoyable combat style, supported by a flexible progression system, and these aspects stand out thanks to very good level design and epic, challenging boss fights that are among the best in games of this genre. The problem with Wuchang is that its story doesn't do a good job of grabbing your attention, and the game sometimes lacks originality, copying some of the ideas we've seen before, to the point that it even retains the same flaws. Still, it's ultimately an experience worth playing.

If Death Stranding stood out for being unique, Death Stranding 2 feels like a more mature and polished follow-up. It fixes many flaws from the original and brings smart improvements and new features that make the gameplay more engaging and varied. At the same time, it keeps the game’s signature sci-fi world and delivers a gripping story full of mystery, emotion, and madness. In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima fully unleashes his creativity, resulting in a standout experience that’s among the best of this generation

Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree is a decent experience with some creative mechanics and well-crafted puzzles. However, the game leans too heavily on repeating the same ideas, making the second half feel dull and repetitive. As for the story, while it starts with a promising concept, the execution fails to deliver in any meaningful way

Deliver At All Costs stands out as one of this year’s most enjoyable gaming experiences. While it does face some issues—mainly impacting the story and featuring a few odd design decisions—when considering the game as a whole, it offers a genuinely satisfying experience.

6 / 10.0 - Blades of Fire
May 20, 2025

Mercury Steam decided to create a different action game, both in combat style and weapon crafting and customization. However, unique ideas alone are not enough to make an excellent game, as there were other aspects of Blades of Fire that fell short, such as the story, enemy placement, and main objective design. Additionally, the low production quality showed a negative impact due to the game’s length and ambition, resulting in an overall average-level game.

Releasing Onimusha 2 again makes sense as a lead-up to the new game in the series, Way of the Sword, coming in 2026. It’s also a way to introduce the game to new players. I wish there were some new features or improvements, but it’s still nice to be able to play this game on modern devices. This also shows how Capcom has been keeping its classic games alive by re-releasing them over the past few years.

DOOM: The Dark Ages delivers everything you could want from a shooter and action game—and above all, everything a DOOM fan expects. It offers dynamic and refreshing gameplay, a vast arsenal of weapons, diverse mechanics, and powerful moves. The levels challenge players to bring their best, especially on higher difficulty settings, making it a strong contender in the ongoing debate over which is better: this or Eternal.

8 / 10.0 - MotoGP 25
Apr 30, 2025

MotoGP™️25 delivers an immersive riding experience by blending advanced physics with accurate simulation, giving players a true-to-life feel on the track. To diversify gameplay, an “Arcade” mode has been added, alongside improvements and updates to the career mode. The game offers impressive graphics and sophisticated sound design that elevate the overall experience. However, content outside the career mode remains limited. While the addition of the “Race-off” mode is a appreciated feature, it offers only a narrow range of options and variety. Additionally, some graphical details fall short of the high standards expected.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a wonderful game crafted with love, excelling in every aspect. Its story is bold and emotional, masterfully written and supported by outstanding voice acting. Set in a unique world that captivates the eye with its beauty and sparks the imagination with its concept, the game is enriched by enchanting music that adds magic to the experience. All of this comes together in an innovative role-playing game that delivers its ideas exceptionally well, making it undoubtedly one of the biggest surprises of this generation—especially as the debut project from SandFall Interactive

Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition stands as one of the most ambitious JRPGs ever created in terms of its world and content. While this scale comes at the expense of elements that once distinguished the series — particularly in storytelling and other areas — it still delivers an experience that no JRPG fan should miss. With this release, the Nintendo Switch becomes home to a legendary series whose level of ambition is rarely seen in today's market.
