7 / 10.0 - Wildermyth
Oct 29, 2024

Wildermyth: Console Edition is an intriguing RPG that allows players to build their own narrative and follow the development of their characters throughout different campaigns. However, the game suffers from a lack of variations in its combat system, which ends up limiting some of its incredible potential. Still, it is a game worth checking out, especially for those who enjoy tabletop RPGs.

We shouldn't judge a game by what it could be, but in the case of Sky Oceans: Wings for Hire it's almost sacrilege to realize that the game has potential buried by mediocrity. From the tired story, which could pass as a good 26-episode summer anime, to the sleepy and repetitive combat, this air pirate adventure is only recommended for those who have a good nostalgia for Skies of Arcadia or really like airplanes, because even the replayability factor is weak and it's only worth it to complete the easy trophies (or achievements).

But Keylocker: Turn Based Cyberpunk Action is a hard game not to recommend, even with its hardly palatable stance for people used to the standardized visions of the gamesphere. Though it has a very punitive difficulty, a story that doesn't wait for the player and extensive dialogues that don't always seem to make clear sense, there's an intrinsic charm there born from interesting characters, locales that entice curiosity, and a story very rich in details and development, showing that the developer Moonana can fly even higher in the next productions.

Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid isn't exactly an emotional game, not an action-filled adventure or an extremely intricate story, but it's a game sensible to memories and feelings that many people have experienced during their childhoods, be it in Japan or even in Brazil. Playing has always been good, remembering that age as an adult is also good, and a game that manages to communicate this nostalgic vibe so well to the player is an extreme success for Millenium Kitchen.

3 / 10.0 - Meifumado
Jul 30, 2024

Meifumado has some glimpses of what was perhaps initially envisioned for it, such as its boss fights that are very reminiscent of Sekiro battles, rather than its 2D contemporaries, and its graphics that are very reminiscent of those titles from the heyday of the Super Nintendo and also the Neo Geo. But that's all the game has in terms of qualities at this point, falling far short of other games of the genre, not only current ones, but also classics from previous generations.

7 / 10.0 - Magical Delicacy
Jul 16, 2024

Magical Delicacy tries to be extremely accessible for anyone: with gameplay that is already very easy to get used to even with standard options, the hardest part will be avoiding a few dangers. But the game still has accessibility options to turn off all these types of difficulties that the player may have, thus making the game have just one objective: to be a cozy game. The simplicity of the game in its presentation is offset by the complex, but satisfying main mechanics. The game will certainly not please anyone looking for a challenge that will make your heart race with action from start to finish. Nor is it the objective here, since, with its extremely colorful 2D graphics and a simple and effective soundtrack, the game is made for those who want to relax and gradually master the magical — and slightly confusing — kitchen of the little witch Flora.

6.5 / 10.0 - Echo Generation
Jun 26, 2024

Through a lean and straightforward adventure, Echo Generation: Midnight Edition is a perfect choice for anyone who wants an adventure tailor-made for newcomers to RPGs, or even video games in general. But some details, or even lack of ambition (if the developers were looking for that) make it a difficult recommendation for more experienced players or for those looking for challenges.

Morbid: The Lords of Ire is an unfortunate case of a game with potential but plagued by poor design choices and a lack of technical refinement. You can't keep thinking about what it stopped being, but there is the feeling of an idea that could have been better used if they continued with a footprint closer to its predecessor and refined its 2D isometric style instead of starting from scratch for an attempt pharaonic to build a fully 3D environment.

9 / 10.0 - Dread Delusion
May 24, 2024

If you're looking for an indie game that will introduce you to a living world, with plots that range from personal dramas to political and social commentary and a right dose of nostalgia that nowadays is difficult to match with quality, then Dread Delusion might be the one. game for you.
