Howl is a simple but efficient turn-based tactical game. It is not particularly long-lived, but gives the possibility of a good handful of games without getting bored. The mechanics are immediate and fun, suitable for everyone thanks to an ‘assisted’ mode that helps with reasoning. A successful indie title, able to entertain in downtime while keeping the mind in training.

Tales of Arise - Beyond the Dawn is a DLC that comes two years after the release of the main game and adds nothing to the experience in terms of gameplay. On the contrary, by almost completely wiping out the player's progress in the main story, it nullifies what was done before. However, when viewed as a stand-alone piece of content dedicated exclusively to Tales of Arise fans, Beyond the Dawn is the perfect opportunity to return to the twin worlds and reunite with some much-loved and well-written characters: an embrace that takes advantage of the nostalgia effect and gives us the opportunity to travel a little longer with Alphen, Shionne and the others. A winning team does not change... but we would have expected more.

Jusant is a poetic and inspired title: on this lonely journey, our task is to keep climbing to reach the clouds, in the hope of finding a remedy for the drought. DON'T NOD proves once again that it has a way with music and atmosphere. There is no shortage of ideas, but this puzzle game, while original, does not quite meet its challenge due to a sometimes wooden gameplay, a less than excellent technical compartment and a storyline that runs out all too soon.

Sea of Stars is a successful, if not excellent, experiment. The two young protagonists fail to stand out, as does the villain of the tale, but during the journey one meets well-written characters who contribute to an interesting plot. The dynamic turn-based combat system manages to be innovative and keep you engaged without being too repetitive, even if it is not entirely convincing. The art direction is the jewel in the crown of Sabotage Studio's title, thanks to its well-rendered and brightly coloured pixel art. Recommended for those looking for a ‘cozy game’ in which to immerse themselves for some forty hours.

In the horrifying city of Krat, the puppets that were once at the service of humanity have transformed into killing machines, while a mysterious evil transforms people, devastates and kills. Puppet P is special, as he has the ability to lie: what growth path will he face? What mysteries do the intelligent Geppetto, the enterprising Venigni, the mysterious Sophia and the other citizens of Krat hide? In this reinterpretation of Collodi's classic, the mechanics of souls like are taken up with great effectiveness, while the more original elements remain in the background, not entirely successful. Lies of P remains a very solid action in terms of technical aspects and artistic creation, a "must have" for lovers of the genre.

Chants of Sennaar is a little gem for lovers of original puzzle games (see Humanity). By climbing the Tower of Babel we will have to translate the languages of the peoples who live there, separated and incapable of communicating as in the myth described in Genesis. Armed only with a notebook full of drawings and our intuition, we will be able to decipher dozens and dozens of glyphs, between exploration and small puzzles. Apart from some less intuitive points and some stealth sections that slow down the pace, Chants of Sennaar is an original and successful title, capable of keeping you glued to the screen for many hours, even consecutively.
