An excellent remake of a classic adventure game, it will capture the interest of both newcomers to the genre and fans of the original game. We couldn't think of a better "appetizer" leading up to the release of Broken Sword 6.

A typical Metroidvania, with an emphasis on storytelling and pixel-art graphics, Gestalt: Steam & Cinder quenches the insatiable thirst of fans of the genre, but it doesn't impress anywhere.

Vast in duration, with a pretty good narrative and a very entertaining combat system, Horizon Forbidden West is another excellent Sony game making its way to the PC market.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is one of Don't Nod's best games and generally a very worthwhile proposition for fans of single-player action/"RPG" games, with an emphasis on plot. It's not foolproof, it doesn't contain any particular innovations, but it's thoughtful in almost every aspect and extremely well-written.

90% - Tekken 8
Feb 19, 2024

Tekken 8 is another impressive addition to Bandai Namco's highly successful line-up of famous fighting games, combining abundant content and a very entertaining "easy-to-learn/hard-to-master" gameplay.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a great game that can keep you busy for dozens of hours and make you feel that your money has been well spent. If it weren't for the unacceptable, by all means, paywall on New Game+ (only unlocked if you buy the Deluxe or Premium version), then its value would be even greater.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is, perhaps surprisingly, a quality game from Ubisoft, which is highly recommended to all fans of the metroidvania sub-genre, but also to those who love the series. Sure, it's challenging as a game, which may put off a portion of players, but it's fun, clever, and at times, magical.

Even so, with its limitations and "transitional" nature, Like A Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is a decent episode, especially for fans of the series, and well worth your time until Infinite Wealth.

Impressive animation, extreme artistic surrealism, but hopelessly short in length, thus appealing to a very specific audience.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a fun and easy to play action/platform, that will give you several hours of "pure" entertainment. If the performance issues were missing, things would be even better.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story doesn't propose any innovative ideas, but it implements the existing ones so well that they add up to an excellent metroidvania game, guaranteed to please fans of the genre.

70% - Trepang2
Jun 20, 2023

Trepang2 could have been a gem in the FPS genre, as it has an enviable combat mechanic, but the rest of the structure is mediocre. However, the foundations it lays are solid, so a potential sequel is capable of being a milestone for the genre, as was the case with its inspirator.

A masterful addition to a legendary series that more than honors the momentous name it carries and will provide many, many hours of quality entertainment to anyone who decides to invest in it, whether they're a novice or a seasoned gamer.

Dead Island 2 is a surprisingly good game that I had more fun with than I would have expected. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but its well-made mechanics, its simplicity and its honest intentions are enough elements to score it positively.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is another remarkable Team Ninja production, which in my opinion, shouldn't be seen as a "sequel to NiOh", but as a different "fruit". Familiar, but different, just as Sekiro was different from Dark Souls. With that correlation in mind, the game is highly recommended to fans of the genre. For the rest, there's also the demo.
