Egging On is a very fun and creative experience. Although it’s intimidating and incredibly frustrating at times, I recommend giving it a chance if you’re up for a unique and clever challenge. Even as someone who doesn’t play a lot of challenging games, I was able to make my way to the end with some of the accessibility options and some patience.

Ruffy and the Riverside is a solid entry into the 3D platformer genre. I felt so nostalgic while playing it, especially when I stumbled across a hidden room where “Banjo was here!” was written on the wall. I definitely suggest giving this game a try and certainly if you’re a 3D platformer sicko like me. I finished this game at around 16 hours by doing a good amount of side quests, but there’s still plenty of collectibles and achievements left!

Despite the few minor issues, I think Hoomanz! is adorable and very charming. The game kept me interested and 3 hours of playtime flew by very quickly without me noticing. If you want something cute to play for the Halloween season, even if it’s not directly related to the holiday, I think it fits the vibe! Stealth games aren’t for everyone, but because it’s simple and easy to get into, I think more people would find it fun than not.

In just a little over 2 hours, Undusted: Letters from the Past wrecked me emotionally, but it had a lasting impression on me. It’s a game about dealing with family hardships and grief. However, if you want a short and relaxing game that also tells a beautiful story, look no further! I think fans of games like Venba and Unpacking especially would love this. Just be aware that it does weigh a bit heavy on the heart.

This is a very creative, beautiful, and unique game but unfortunately the extremely slow pacing really hurt the experience for me. I’m sure there will be plenty of people who enjoy this just for just the art alone, but about a third of the way through this 7 hour game, I was ready to move on with something else.

Unfortunately, I did encounter a good amount of bugs and glitches in my playthrough. That being said, most of these issues were quickly resolved by restarting at the most recent checkpoint. The developers are aware of issues.Considering the demo portion was much improved in the final version of the game in such a short time, I do believe they will work out the kinks pretty quickly. Be aware that the console versions are a little behind the Steam version in production, so they are more likely to have more problems at this time. Steam is where I played for this review.

While the story really stuck with me and I mostly enjoyed the gameplay, I did feel like there was something missing to really pull the game together as a whole. Having more tasks to complete or maybe having a bit more challenge to the puzzles would’ve helped. There were also a few small bugs I ran into, mostly with getting stuck in between things. Sometimes I created a lot more of a mess than I wanted to while traversing. It was easy to accidentally knock the objects over that you needed to keep upright, which could be a bit of an annoyance at times.

Even with some of its pacing issues, I enjoyed most of my time with Tiny Bookshop. If you’re a book lover like me, I do think it’s worth checking out. With some small tweaks and a bit more variety in the book selection, I think this could improve quite a bit.

All in all, I really enjoyed my time with Is This Seat Taken? I think it’s the perfect little puzzle game and it’s very unique in style for the type of game it is. Sometimes similar scenarios reappeared with small differences and I would’ve personally preferred something different each time. Anyone who’s looking to relax but also work their brain a little bit will be in for a treat with this game. It’s a great price, too!

Herdling is a beautiful atmospheric adventure that I would highly recommend, especially to anyone who’s a fan of games similar to Journey. Despite having a few slow moments, I think this game is stunning and an experience I’ll remember for a while. It only took me 4 hours to finish, so it’s the perfect bite-sized game to add to your list!

There’s room for improvement, but it’s still enjoyable enough.

Even if the game did get a bit repetitive, it didn’t feel like it overstayed its welcome. The campaign was around 12 hours for me. After the campaign, you can continue to patrol the streets as you wish. All of this being said, this is a very impressive game from such a small team. I think a few tweaks could really turn this into a great game.

I had an excellent time playing South of Midnight. A lot of the gameplay reminds me of Alice Madness Returns, which was also excellent. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a unique experience.

While mostly light-hearted, it does give off some eerie vibes at times. My playthrough took about 8 hours while spending some time searching for most collectibles and secrets.

Proverbs is a logic puzzle game where each number on a square represents the number of positive squares in a 3x3 space surrounding it. Right clicking on a square highlights yellow (positive), while left clicking on a square highlights red (negative). The goal is to highlight each square correctly to fill out the sections.

The art style has a cute and colorful aesthetic with an anime vibe. The music is very relaxing, and it picks up as your street gets busier. The gameplay is very simple, and it doesn’t ever feel like you’re pressed for time. It’s very impressive—considering the game was only made in 6 months.

This game is very easy to get through, but I do think it’s intended for younger audiences; it’s a great game to play with young children. That being said, I also think a lot of adults will enjoy it or find it relaxing, too.

Overall, Nikoderiko: The Magical World is a delightful game that anyone who loves platformers classics such as Donkey Kong Country or Crash Bandicoot would enjoy. While it doesn’t seem to add anything new to the table, each level feels fresh, adding extra mechanics that are introduced as you explore the world.

Although Stars In The Trash is only a little over an hour long, I absolutely loved it. The only downside to this game is that I wanted more of it; I'm sure I’ll go back and get the remaining achievements soon. Thankfully, the menu has the option to select previous chapters, making it easy to go back and get whatever it is that you’ve missed.

Overall, [Duck Detective: The Secret Salami] is a short game with a runtime of only about three hours, but it’s a fun experience. If you’re a fan of detective-style games like Case of the Golden Idol but want something a little more charming and light-hearted, I’d suggest giving this game a try.
