At first glance, Bellwright might seem like the classic mix of RPG, survival, and sandbox elements already seen in dozens of other indie titles. However, its strong management component sets it apart from the dangerous label of “more of the same,” making it a deep and enjoyable game. Bellwright is a diamond in the rough: a sandbox in the truest sense of the word, but also an excellent role-playing game that fans of the genre will appreciate. Unfortunately, the console port currently limits the experience, compounded by an interface that’s difficult to navigate with a controller and insufficient optimization. At the time of this review’s publication, however, the game is still in early access: Donkey Crew therefore has plenty of time to step in and iron out the kinks ahead of the full release.

NBA THE RUN succeeds in achieving its primary goal: delivering a fun experience while remaining approachable and accessible to players of all skill levels. Its gameplay is engaging, the roster of NBA superstars is well-rounded, and the randomized rule-selection system proves to be an inspired addition that keeps matches fresh and unpredictable. Unfortunately, the game is held back by a number of shortcomings. The lack of dedicated single-player modes and a traditional Quick Match option is noticeable, while the overall experience offers less pure streetball action than many players might have expected. As a result, NBA THE RUN is far from a revolutionary entry in the sports gaming genre. Nevertheless, it deserves credit for bringing basketball fans back to the playground courts with a dedicated arcade-style experience, a type of game that has been largely absent from the market for quite some time.

Starfield’s arrival on PS5 brings one of this generation’s most significant RPGs to Sony users, despite its flaws. Its release, coinciding with the Free Lanes update and the Terran Armada DLC, offers an extremely content-rich package overall. Although Terran Armada adds a lot to the mix, of the two updates it is Free Lanes that most significantly enhances the experience: the new free interplanetary travel system adds a much-needed element and breathes new life into Bethesda’s space opera. Finally, the excellent implementation of the DualSense is worth noting, with its features utilised to the full to make the controls more comfortable and intuitive.

With a staggering amount of content, the series' most complete roster, and a revamped physics engine with some excellent new features, WWE 2K26 is a must-have for fans and, at the same time, the best starting point for those new to the series. The move away from previous-generation consoles has allowed developers to make significant strides in gameplay: the result is much more believable and enjoyable wrestling, although the gameplay mechanics still need some refinement to shake off the series' signature flaws.

The arrival of Avowed on PlayStation 5 and the simultaneous launch of the Anniversary Update are sure to make everyone happy. First and foremost, Sony players, who can finally get their hands on one of the most solid and entertaining RPGs of the current generation. But also those who have already tackled the adventure on Microsoft platforms and want to start from scratch with New Game Plus, or those who have deliberately waited for more content to be added before trying the game. In any case, with this Anniversary Update, Avowed does not change its essence: if anything, it comes out enhanced and refined, giving us hope for future updates to Obsidian's title.
