Thumper made my heart race in a way no other rhythm game has before. I really like it.
I liked this game. A lot. As someone who loves the Gears franchise and found myself frustrated with its recent direction, it’s good to have a proper Gears game that feels like a new chapter in the original saga.
Paper Mario: Color Splash is a beautiful game that leans on the classic paper aesthetic to deliver a funny, charming and virtually tactile experience.
Yo-Kai Watch 2 is a game I have no problem recommending.
A collection worth buying? Well, only for some right now.
You wouldn't be making a terrible mistake picking ReCore up now, but I know I wish I waited for these load times to be fixed.
Play at your own risk. There are some amazing sights to see and some weird, hilarious creatures. But you’re getting a half-finished game along with it.
My only regret is that I didn't play Odin Sphere enough back in the day to truly appreciate the overhaul that VanillaWare has given it.
Overwatch is a tight, friendly, fun, well made shooter. It's easily one of the best games I've played this year.
Is it perfect? Certainly not. It feels like it was pressed by a machine with a template. The mech suit and dynamic gameplay mechanics are its saving grace, but I don’t think they’ll be enough for all comers.
Over the nearly 20 hours I spent with this game for review, I found myself enthralled with its approach to adventure, combat, emotion and narrative. Naughty Dog have once again shown that they're fantastic when it comes to telling a piece of Nate's story, and I'm pleased with what was created.
Severed is one hell of a game, complete with addicting mechanics, a bizarre and wonderful story, moments of pure horror and a silent heroine that does the
The Star Fox game fans have been waiting for; however, getting to the experience will require wading through unique controls.
The Banner Saga 2 improves upon the original without reinvention, and it's just as brutal as the first. Like tactical strategy with a side of despair? Dig in.
Ratchet & Clank is more than a reboot. It's a love letter.
Even when I felt like giving up, I knew I was enjoying my time with Hyper Light Drifter.
If you have friends over often, dig local couch play in gaming and have the right sense of humor for an absurd dodgeball game, Stikbold! is great.
When we're coming up on the end of the year, I don't think the game is going to win any awards for best game or best writing. Ultimately, it's not a Great game, with a capital G. It's a really good one, and it's a lot of fun.
To call SUPERHOT compelling would be an understatement. If you like bizarre and novel affairs with equally strange approaches to gameplay, this game should be on your radar. It's a little too brief for my tastes, though there is extra content to pad the experience out beyond the 100 minutes it takes to see the credits.
Fire Emblem Fates is another wonderful entry in the series. It offers an odd sales choice and some controversial tweaks, but it's a great tactical strategy
