Just don't buy. If you like the concept maybe buy Evolve instead.
If you're desperate for a local co-op puzzle game, then Death Squared will certainly scratch that itch. However, lack of variety in levels means that it can get pretty monotonous very quickly.
While I enjoyed some of the characters and humor, the gameplay and story aren't really innovative or interesting.
A good idea, nice art style and mix of ideas, absolutely terrible gameplay.
It feels rushed, uncreative and so lacking in the passion that made the first act great.
While Blade Strangers is a perfectly competent fighting game it will struggle to find an audience. Too simple for fighting fans, too niche for kids and not enough story for fans of the source material, it simply fails to meet the mark.
While still an enjoyable game to play, Runner3 has serious balancing issues. I little bit of polish here and there would have seen frustrations turn into a lot of fun.
A solid strategy game that could do with more challenge and only really shines on mobile platforms.
A beautiful game but not quite successful for me as a social experiment.
Overall, Sega Genesis Classics is not a bad selection of games from the Genesis library. There's a very competent emulation of the gameplay from the original hardware. However, it lacks some key games and extras we got in past compilations, and the sound emulation is lacking.
There is a lot wrong with this remake and a lot of missed opportunities in terms of updating a game for the modern age, but at its core, it is still Secret of Mana and that is a game that everyone should play at least once.
While short, Last Day of June is a nice story that will capture you for the entirety of your playthrough. However, the ending ensures that the game won't stay with you after you're done.
An amazing example of what just one dev can do. A solid 2D pixel puzzle platformer, and worth an hour of your time, even if the writing is a little difficult to bear.
Innovative gameplay, but too short and not enough story for me to give a better score.
The story, music and background art are stand out winners even if the lack of puzzles and voice acting get a little painful
The story is by no means without fault, but Bad Apple Wars has something truly charming about it. The characters are so well written that I kept coming back until I'd seen everything the game had to offer and was touched every time.
Yakuza 6 is a great game because it's a Yakuza game, but it's not a great Yakuza game. It still has the great brawler action the series is known for, and a tight put together story. However, the tightening of the narrative in no ways makes up for all the great things I missed out on from the previous game.
A great dark story for a take on the classic dating sim, but could do with less repetition.
While Crossing Souls treads the line between challenging and frustrating, there is a lot here to get excited about. Strong and varied gameplay mixes beautifully with a well written story and great music and graphics.
Full Throttle is as great as it ever was, with a charming story and interesting puzzles. The remaster does little to add to this, but it's still very much worth your time.
