Jason Stettner's Reviews
Horizon Forbidden West is a simply stunning experience that’s very familiar to the first game while boldly expanding the scope of what Aloy is aiming to achieve.
Elden Ring is a brutally unforgiving game, from its difficulty to the dreary tones it presents and at the same it’s quite wondrous to take in being a strangely addicting offering.
CrossfireX is a really generic sort of shooter that feels as though it’s from the late 2000’s with the visual shine of today. I personally have found it fun, but severely lacking in terms of content.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection brings together two great games in one package, but with minor upgrades that don’t really push gaming like they did at launch.
Rainbow Six Extraction is a generally solid experience, but also a repetitive one that can feel quite grindy at times.
Toy Soldiers HD is the great return of a classic, it holds up well with just the visuals being a bit of a drawback.
Monopoly Madness provides frantic, fun family action backed by a healthy selection of content and multiple ways to play with others.
Halo Infinite is an ambitious next step for the franchise, where they aim to recreate the wonder and mystery that Combat Evolved did twenty years ago. I don’t feel that the game reaches the heights that have been set for it, with limited multiplayer content and a campaign that has numerous elements that don't quite hit the mark. It feels, finite instead of being Infinite as the titling of the game suggests.
Battlefield 2042 had the potential to be the best entry in the series, but the numerous issues and poor state of launch severely undercut what can be a really fun time.
Just Dance 2022 is more or less the same as the previous year, presenting a selection of the latest hits while innovating slightly in regards to their visual presentation.
Call of Duty Vanguard is a solid package featuring an enjoyable campaign experience, fast paced expansive multiplayer and a rather drab zombies mode that actually lessens the overall value.
Forza Horizon 5 is the continued perfection of open world racing, delivering a more narrative focused experience while aiming to greatly expand the scope of this pristine franchise.
Riders Republic is a great extreme sports offering with tons of activities to take part in and a very impressive seamless multiplayer world to explore.
SkateBird is a very cute, zen like skateboarding game that takes the concept of the Tony Hawk games and adds a tad bit of small bird charm to it.
Song of Iron has a really great sense of atmosphere to it, but it’s rather short and has some bugs here or there that makes the experience feel as though it lacks polish.
Age of Empires 4 is the true successor that we’ve been waiting ever so long for. It’s a perfect continuation that builds upon what made this series so special, while also making it accessible for new players.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is a perfect joyride featuring action packed moments that are balanced with more emotive segments.
Back 4 Blood is really Left 4 Dead 3 in all but the name, providing a worthy successor that is fun to play and stacked with content.
Far Cry 6 is by far the biggest entry in the series, providing an impressive open world that’s filled with content to explore and what feels like endless hours of gameplay.
Chivalry 2 is an incredible experience being gruesome and directly comparable to Battlefield but with knights.
