High on Life is a quirky, straight up bizarre shooter that provides a relaxing and at times comedic experience.
The Callisto Protocol had some performance issues, but at its core just wasn’t a great game lacking exciting moments or well anything even remotely scary. I was never entertained while playing this game; finding it boring, cumbersome and honestly rather traumatic but not in a terrified sense which is a shame.
Somerville is an intriguing, sometimes thought provoking venture that while initially mysterious ultimately ends up being a bit bland dragged down by a lack of polish and performance issues.
Pentiment is a masterpiece, I’ve never played such a unique game. It combines traditional classic RPG stylings with modern game mechanics for such a perfect interactive atmosphere.
God of War Ragnarok delivers a remarkable continuation from 2018 in a narrative that centers itself on dynamics of family and relationships alongside the growth you witness as time goes on.
A Plague Tale: Requiem delivers an impressive improvement upon the already incredible entry that preceded it. You get a well structured narrative that delivers.
EA Sports NHL 23 is the safest and most minimally upgraded entry they’ve ever done in the series.
Kirby's Dream Buffet is a scrumptious trip through eating the calorie filled deserts in life, but alas may feel somewhat light for those wanting something deeper.
Way of the Hunter provides some well balanced hunting mechanics that make it enticing, while at the same time failing to really deliver a satisfying next generation world.
Droid Trivia may have some neat educational bits to it, but it’s painfully slow to sit through and has some bugs that really roughen up the experience.
Bright Memory Infinite is a gorgeous, stylistic shooter that comes across as rather lackluster in terms of length and replayability.
As Dusk Falls provides an interesting first half with a latter portion that felt boring and stretched out. Pacing aside this is a very interesting middle ground between traditional series viewing experiences and interactive gaming.
Stray is a lovely, thought provoking experience that nails the feeling of being a cat.
Mario Strikers: Battle League provides some fun, fast paced action within arenas that can be a tad too claustrophobic at times and in general is a bit lacking in content.
The Quarry is an enjoyable and solid horror experience that didn’t quite dive into the genre I was hoping it would have tackled.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge was a glorious return to form being the best of what came before while advancing that in a very satisfying way.
Sniper Elite 5 is an excellent step forward for the franchise bringing vast environments that are filled with unique challenges to tackle.
Evil Dead: The Game greatly exceeded my expectations being an absolutely gory delight that perfectly captures the franchise and provides a challengingly fun time.
Diablo 2 Resurrected is a beautiful upgrade to one of the most classic dungeon crawling games ever created, perhaps the definitive one of the genre one could say.
The Gunk provides a fun mystery in what’s a very easy going and guided journey, it’s rather short but at the same time a fine experience.
