For a game that shows an insane amount of promise, it falls flat in a lot of ways. While the visuals are fantastic, and the story, albeit flawed, is engaging, there isn't much else in the way of options or offerings that can be had with this game. It's a great "sit back with the homies and play" type game, but other than that, it'll be collecting a bit of dust on your shelf when you're done with it.

I cannot mince words here; Trillion seems like a gigantic waste of time. For a game with such potential, it squanders it so badly, that even I couldn't be bothered with it after playing the game for 8 hours. It is extremely tedious, everything seems pointless, the combat and movement are clunky...it just doesn't feel good at all. You might as well call this game RPG Simulator 2015 since that's exactly what it seems like. Despite the exceptionally engaging storytelling, this game falls completely on its face.

While I'm not a fan of the changes towards the timing of layups, NBA 2K17 continues to improve on what many have deemed near-perfection with NBA 2K16. There isn't a single thing not to like about this game, and that's the way NBA 2K likes to do it. K.I.S.S: Keep it Simple, Stupid.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X seems to miss the mark in too many ways, in my opinion, for new players to even get into the series. Long-standing fans will love this game, most assuredly, but that's not saying much towards the negative takeaways from this game for new people.

The King of Fighters XIV does everything right, in a time where just so much is going wrong with Fighting Games. Where e-Sports are at an unparalleled popularity level and the most popular game caved into the e-Sports distribution model, it’s pretty amazing to see a fighting game that is complete on day one.

Building Rory McIlroy PGA Tour from scratch was indeed the right thing to do for this franchise. It's a fresh reboot of a wonderful series of games, and it doesn't fail to deliver.

7th Dragon III Code: VFD might appear to be a standard fare JRPG, and you would be right. However, the deep levels of customization, both in battle and outside of it strive to keep players engaged well throughout the game. It's a 30+ hour game just at its core, so you're going to spending quite some time playing. While it can get a little repetitive, the rewards and little set pieces that can be gained far outweigh the potential negatives that it can present.

I don't really play sandbox games, as I get bored easily by arbitrary goals that usually mean nothing to the game, but something about Windward raises my sails (pun completely intended.)

MegaTagmension: Blanc + Neptune vs. Zombies is one of those games where you definitely have to be either a fan of the genre or a fan of the series to enjoy, and even then you're not necessarily going to enjoy it past the initial playthrough unless you're a diehard fan of these games. The story is bland, the characters have a lot of personality that doesn't always get to shine, and the gameplay is repetitive, even according to musou standards. However, the moments where everything seems to click, it serves this game extremely well.

Let's just say that you'll be putting in a ridiculous amount of time into Forced Showdown.

To be fair, it's standard Walking Dead fare from Telltale. There isn't much of a difference, and to those who didn't read the graphic novel, and don't know what happened to Michonne during her disappearance from Rick Grimes' group, there isn't much to be said here.

WWE 2K16 is definitely the perfect blend of fun and competitive gameplay, and a definite shot in the arm for this series to date, being a step in the right direction that the series needed after setting the foundation with WWE 2K15.

I don't know about you, but Rise of the Tomb Raider, while not a complete masterpiece, is pretty damn close to being one in the Action-Adventure genre.

While it still has a ways to go in terms of being THE basketball sim, NBA Live 16 has made the necessary strides to at least be competitive against NBA 2K in the market.

Madden NFL 16 regains its championship swagger in so many ways. The completely revamped Madden Ultimate Team, Connected Franchise, and the absolutely fun Draft Champions modes are definitely the highlight of this game, by far.

Appealingly chaotic. It's the first phrase that comes to mind when describing Insomniac Studios' Sunset Overdrive.

I fondly remember playing NBA Live 2005. The addition of the All-Star Weekend Dunk Contest was the hype. The gameplay felt smooth. It was quite intuitive and not overly complicated. What does any of this have to do with NBA Live 15? Let's just say that the reintroduction of NBA Live might have been a mistake on EA's part.
