Monster Hunter Rise is nothing short of a must have game, with the quality of life additions to traversal and movement elevating the experience.
Overall, my journey in Firewatch was engaging and fun, with wonderful scenery and some of the best written and most believable conversations I've ever heard in a game. It was a special journey, however, the ending felt rushed and the feelings that were invoked during the game were brushed under the carpet. Additionally, the controls were frustrating and the technical issues are inexcusable.
EA’s UFC 2 is a good follow up to the original and continues to give a good representation of an actual UFC bout
Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book is a lovely tale of friendship, perseverance and following your dreams, filled with a wonderful cast of characters.
When all is said and done, Gears of War 4 is an excellent follow up to the Gears of War trilogy on Xbox 360. Whether you’re a returning Gear or a brand new recruit, Gears of War 4 is perfect for both of you.
Overall, the multiplayer mode is a step down from the original Titanfall, but the controls are still the best of anything on the market right now. On the other hand, the campaign is an incredible and empowering experience that absolutely everyone should try. Ultimately, Titanfall 2 is an excellent package, even if the multiplayer is somewhat of a letdown.
Overall, if you’re happy to sit down and have a good read, Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness is an extremely well-told story with an incredibly well-written antagonist. The lack of animation and interactivity will be off-putting for some, but if you can look past that you’re in for an engrossing experience that moulds itself around your choices.
If you’re interested in 2D platformers or want to try out a unique new game, I highly suggest jumping on Shantae: Half-Genie Hero.
If a third-person tactical shooter with a range of difficulties, different ways to play, co-op options and lengthy open-world missions sounds like something up your alley but you haven’t ventured into the Sniper Elite universe yet, go ahead and give it a crack.
All in all, ARMS feels closer to a half-attempt at a massive new IP by Nintendo – boldened by the success of Splatoon, but still holding themselves back for fear of overinvesting.
With Yakuza Kiwami, SEGA have brought the series starting point up to a modern standard and created the perfectly jumping in point for the series.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is, without a doubt, a game that any Nintendo Switch owner should try, but maybe stick with playing in docked mode wherever possible.
Thanks to that freedom of playstyles, Skyrim for Nintendo Switch is the best version of the game since the original release and is definitely worth your time.
It’s not without its faults, but there’s no doubt in my mind that Death Stranding was well worth the wait.
Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition very much lives up its name, as its definitely the best version of the game released yet.
If you’re at all interested in checking out the Bioshock series for the first time or looking for a new way to play it, the Switch port is easy to recommend.
With engaging mechanics, a quirky art style, energetic music and plenty of variety, this is a great title, especially given the low price of $29.95 AUD.
Overall, Ghost of Tsushima is a gorgeous and highly engaging narrative adventure, with some rote open world activities and small frustrations in combat.
Overall, Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition is a fantastic re-release and visual elevation of the original 2017 game.
