It's in dire need of a patch to fix the difficulty, but unfortunately no patch will solve the screen tearing and frame rate issues… and in a racing game there is no bigger sin.

9.4 / 10.0 - Forza Horizon 3
Sep 19, 2016

Forza Horizon 3 is the Godfather 2 of the series. It’s for both the driving enthusiast and the clueless among us. Forza Horizon 3 is really for everyone. If you own an Xbox One or PC you owe it to yourself to be part of this vibrant festival celebration of automobile crack.

6.8 / 10.0 - Mafia 3
Oct 13, 2016

Mafia 3 has good intentions, and a patch should be able to fix the graphical issues, but the boring missions needs a whole new direction. It's a sin that a game with decent mechanics finds itself knee-deep in the mud of a mediocre structure. Perhaps you should just paint it black.

7.3 / 10.0 - Ride 2
Oct 16, 2016

If you can look past the so-so graphics and presentation, and you happen to be a bike lover, then RIDE 2 is by far the most exciting on-road bike game money can buy. Just don’t expect it to perform a wheelie or endo in all categories.

9.2 / 10.0 - The Last Guardian

Ueda has worked on a game that's not perfect, but it's purposely not perfect… which ironically just about makes it a perfect experience. If you have a heart it's going to pull on all those strings, be prepared. Ueda is truly the last guardian of pure gaming 'feels' of our time.

They’ve created some of the most amazing arcade sport games in the past, but those days are long gone. All you see now are own goals, strikes, bogeys, double faults and a racing horse that’s seen better days. Nintendo, here is your red card.

Flatout 4: Total Insanity is not perfect, but it is an incredible amount of fun. If you’re dying for a bit of oldschool arcade racing it’ll provide it in bucket loads, just know that you’ll see the same tracks over and over again and that the crazy AI will drive you to the brink of insanity.

6 / 10.0 - Yooka Laylee
Apr 3, 2017

For players who are after the Banjo Kazooie experience this is exactly what you’ll get and you’ll find much to love. It stays true to that formula and has the DNA etched over everything and anything in the game. However, if you’re accustomed to modern platformers, the likes of Jak & Daxter, Ratchet and Clank or just about any Super Mario title, then this might be embedded too far back in history for it to create a lasting impact in the modern world.
