There is a ton of potential in Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate but unfortunately, it lacks some of the best qualities that VR gaming has to offer.
Expanding the modes, adding new characters, more customization options, and improved netcode would do wonders for All-Star Battle R. As it stands, this game is still a love letter to JoJo and worth picking up for fans of the franchise or anyone with fighting game chops looking to branch out.
Cult of the Lamb is exactly what it sells itself as.
The action is fun and the pixel art is awesome but I still don’t feel as excited about Gunvolt 3 as I would have hoped... Criticisms aside, Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is another entry in a large franchise of titles that will surely be enjoyed by fans.
HunterX is surprisingly well-crafted where it counts. It certainly could use a patch or two but I thoroughly enjoy this type of gameplay and I cannot wait to see if ORANGE POPCORN makes another game.
For fans, this is a wild ride of nostalgia but don’t expect it to be the next great spin-off from the franchise. For players outside of the Final Fantasy scene, it’s an okay beat-em-up with laugh-out-loud scenes that might make for an unforgettable weekend.
Anyone looking for an arcade-style cooperative game definitely needs to check out Pocky & Rocky Reshrined.
I was hoping for more content in Cotton Fantasy but I am excited to see the franchise be given new life through ports, remakes, and whole new games.
Dawn of the Monsters is an absolute delight for anyone who enjoys kaiju or tokusatsu content.
I think that there are many opportunities to feel something powerful in Elden Ring.
Grapple Dog is delightfully charming.
Few tributes to gaming history pull off what Infernax has accomplished.
Because of games like DUSK, we’ve gotten officially sanctioned expansions to 90s PC classics, enhanced ports with features like ray-tracing, a slew of brilliant content creators, enthusiast magazine E1M1, and a seemingly endless list of games that I’m excited to play... Having one of my favorites of this movement on the go as a Switch game is surreal.
Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights is one of the more memorable Metroidvania games I have played in a while.
Despite plenty of room for improvements, Demon Turf is a must-play for fans of 3D platformers.
...Metroid Dread is a good Metroid game and will likely be a favorite among fans of this series.
Yes, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is a fairly average game that reflects years of design tropes. Yet, the game’s commitment to narrative, characters, visual design, and music results in a surprisingly rewarding experience.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania celebrates the franchise and Sega as a whole in a solid collection of variety, challenge, and goofy fun.
All in all, I was surprised that I had as much fun with Marvel’s Avengers as I did. I still dislike the loot system and the microtransactions keeping me away from the best costumes but there is a good Marvel game beneath these elements.
It’s a fun brain teaser with an extremely fun ending and there are enough options so that just about anyone can finish it. I recommend giving it a go.
