Xeodrifter is a nice appetizer for whenever Nintendo gets around to making a new Metroid game but it definitely needed a bit more time to cook to make it feel like a more complete experience.
If you're looking for a reason to buy a Wii U, Super Smash Bros is your best bet. It's the most polished and fun Smash Bros. game I've played. For someone who loves video games like I do, seeing all these characters, as well as the extra trophies and the amazing soundtrack, I have just as much fun perusing the little extra details as fighting itself. With so much content, I'll be playing for years to come.
Bayonetta 2 is a great continuation of a series many thought would be dead. Thanks to Nintendo swooping in to help, we have another wonderfully outrageous action game that fans and newcomers alike can enjoy.
Hohokum is a really fun title to jump into and play around with. It's a toy. It's an experience. It's gorgeous. It fails only when it tries too hard to be a game without helping the player out.
So Many Me is a cute, colorful game that will leave you smiling one minute, then gritting your teeth the next. It's a nice addition to the puzzle-platformer genre but more polished mechanics would go a long way in making it less frustrating in certain areas.
Armillo is a fun puzzle-platformer that has a lot going for it. Great level design, mechanics, and music are only bogged down by the poor physics in the bonus stages and certain "Dark" areas.
A Story About My Uncle has a lot to improve upon but the core gameplay is so fun that it's easy to look past a lot of its flaws. I would love to see add-ons and new challenges. I don't need more story, just let me get back in that Adventure Suit and keep swinging around.
Sportsfriends deserves to sit on the same list of fantastic multiplayer games like Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Street Fighter, and Halo. Make an opening for it at your next party.
NES Remix 2 only takes a small step forward from the game we got merely 5 months ago. Playing these segmented pieces of great games will remind you how fun the classics were, but Remix 2 struggles to find its individuality.
A fun side-scrolling shooter marred with some frustrating design choices. There's a lot of interesting ideas here but nothing other than the crafting system really shines.
