Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time honestly surprised me with just how good it was.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker – Definitive Edition is a deep isometric CRPG that any D&D fan will most likely enjoy.

7.5 / 10.0 - Spitlings
Aug 15, 2020

My overall impression of Spitlings is that if you play solo you should probably skip it but if you have friends, either locally or online, you can have some fun with it. The art style is simple but effective and there is a good amount of levels to play with some fun modifiers to enable to help change things up.

9.5 / 10.0 - Pistol Whip
Aug 14, 2020

Among all of the PlayStation VR titles available today Pistol Whip would rank near the top of the must-play titles.

Putting the server issues and a few of the other problems I have with the game aside, Fall Guys has been an absolute joy to play.

pixelBOT EXTREME! can be fun while it lasts but I don’t think I’ll be going back to it after finishing it. The color-coded rocket mechanic was a nice twist and helps it stand out a bit but I don’t think there is a lot else here that separates it from other side-scrolling shooters.

7 / 10.0 - Maid of Sker
Aug 5, 2020

Maid of Sker is a good horror game but not quite a great one.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer takes the classic Nintendo 64 game and brings it to modern platforms with some nice improvements.

The game does show its age in some of the mission design and the audio but improvements to the controls and graphics have made this far better than the original game ever was. Now when can we see a brand-new entry?

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break isn’t vastly different from prior entries but it is the biggest and best entry yet.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete is just more of an already great thing and that’s all I could really ask for out of it.

6.5 / 10.0 - Blair Witch

Blair Witch has some issues but I do think it is worth playing at some point.

8.5 / 10.0 - Neversong
Jul 16, 2020

Neversong’s art style alone makes me want to recommend it to others to play. Some platforming bits could be better and the game isn’t as deep as some other Metroidvanias but don’t let those things dissuade you. Neversong as a whole is a memorable and unnerving experience that should be played by fans of the genre.

Sisters Royale: Five Sisters Under Fire doesn’t do anything to really make it stand out from other shmups out there but it does play well. The story is pretty uninteresting but the different characters and their firing styles do offer a lot of replayability and could have you spending some time with this shmup.

8 / 10.0 - Superliminal
Jul 14, 2020

Superliminal is the type of puzzle game that I would full heartedly recommend to fans of games like Portal. While it doesn’t have as interesting of a story as something like that it does feature a pretty unique puzzle design concept that had me constantly thinking in new ways. If you’re looking to spend a couple hours thinking outside the box then Superliminal is your game.

It takes some chances with the story and some of those things might anger some people out there. They did me when they first happened but the game fully explains why they made the choices they did and by the end I saw and felt what they were going for. Naughty Dog closed out the PlayStation 3 generation with a must play title and with The Last of Us Part II they’ve once again done the same thing for the PlayStation 4.

9.5 / 10.0 - Desperados III
Jun 17, 2020

Desperados III is nothing short of an excellent tactical strategy game. There is so much here to play through and the way it is designed you’ll be encouraged to go back and replay missions in different ways to pass optional challenges or to just see how you can do it differently.

This new version is very much the same game as the 80’s version except with a cool neon look and some weapon upgrades. While the game doesn’t have much content it’s hard to not recommend with it only being priced at a few dollars.

6 / 10.0 - Pong Quest

Pong Quest adds an interesting dungeon crawling twist to the classic title but doesn’t do enough to make itself a must play.
