The first season of Minecraft: Story Mode is simple but interesting. Fans of Minecraft will be captivated and even those not into the series will like it. While the gameplay feels a bit passive and there are occasional breaks in the fluidity of the game, the experience is quite pleasant and the excellent performance of the voice actors adds an additional dimension to its qualities.

7 / 10 - Star Ghost
Dec 10, 2017

This new and welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue is simple yet demanding, with plenty of details to appreciate, such as its signature soundtrack and will be very much well received by shoot'em up fans.

7 / 10 - BOXBOXBOY!
Sep 23, 2016

While we'd argue that previous fans will get the most out of this sequel in the long run, it's a perfectly manageable entry point for newcomers if the tight mechanics and bite-sized chunks of puzzling goodness are starting to sound pretty good this time around.

Just Dance 2017 arrives on the Nintendo Switch and with it, Nintendo's new system gains its first family and friends party game based on dancing. Thanks to its ambitious catalog of songs - of which 40 are included with the game and an additional 200 require a paid annual subscription - Just Dance 2017 on the Switch will be thoroughly enjoyed by enthusiasts both at home and on the go, thanks to portability of Nintendo's console. It may not be the most groundbreaking experience but it's certain to stand out as one of the most socially fun games available on this system.

Featuring an immense amount of content, a fun and challenging driving mechanic and lots of visual appeal, this game will certainly find its place in the Nintendo Switch catalog, despite a feeling of mid-term repetitiveness and the need to return to previous tracks to obtain more credits.

7 / 10 - I, Zombie
Jun 8, 2018

I, Zombie brings a fun challenge based on a complete reversal of the zombie apocalypse concept that has proven to be so popular in gaming. Thanks to its original approach to the theme, I, Zombie stand out compared to other zombie games, even if it's rahter short and its missions somewhat repetitive.

What Waku Waku 7 brings is a colourful and fun 2D fighting experience. while its unique cast of characters will feel short, their marvelous animations and anime-inspired environments are certainly an added value. Some technical flaws should be corrected but the overall Waku Waku 7 experience is enjoyable and will fit well with 2D fighting games fans who enjoy some exotic ambiances in their games.

Little Inferno turns out to be much deeper than what a superficial view could suggest. Pity that the game's length and selling price are disproportionate to its age and presence in other platforms.

Piczle Lines DX has its flaws but it's still a decent and fun puzzle game. While more game modes and some multiplayer possibilities could be expected given its price, this mixture of Picross with Sudoku has a challenging and fun concept and it knows how to use the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch.

7 / 10 - Time Recoil
Dec 4, 2017

Time Recoil reveals it in its title - the game introduces a time mechanic that makes this an interesting and successful piece of work. With fun action and short, quick missions that make this a game well suited for portable, fast gaming moments, with only its too simplistic graphics and less interesting plot standing in the way of a more fulfilling experience.

7 / 10 - Strikers 1945
Oct 8, 2017

STRIKERS1945 delivers a mid-1990s retro experience thanks to its vertical shoot'em up structure. It's a game that does its job well and despite the lack of a strong long term appeal, it allows for a good experience that anyone who enjoys retro-style shoot'em ups will appreciate.

7 / 10 - Figment
Sep 12, 2018

Figment is an original adventure and puzzle game with a topic that carries an additional layer of importance, that of depression. Thanks to the game's impressive hand-drawn visuals and approach to the topic, fans of both adventure and puzzle games will find themselves enjoying Figment from the beginning to the end. While the combats are too simple and the puzzles become a bit repetitive after a while, this is a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

L.A. Noire on the Nintendo Switch looks and plays as good as the original did, featuring the same stunning actor performances and facial animations of the original, as well as its compelling plot and involving film noir atmosphere. Not all is perfect in this conversion and if the original game already featured a somewhat empty world, the Nintendo Switch version does not add anything groundbreaking to the original.

7 / 10 - Bleed
Jan 17, 2018

Bleed is not the most ambitious game ever made but that's not really necessary when its gameplay is simple but action-packed and will grasp the players' attention immediately. Being a game that's been on the market for a few years now, Bleed's price tag seems too high but that doesn't mean that fans of action games will not be allured by its simple yet effective and fun gameplay.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition keeps the same traits that can be found on the original game: a wide variety of characters, lots of content to explore, a quality soundtrack and elements of the One Piece series. While these are all good reasons to dedicate time and energy to the game, those unfamiliar with the series are not likely to be converted in great numbers and the game does not present anything truly groundbreaking - ultimately, this is a work that preaches to the choir.

Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-Tered is still holding strong and its greatest assets are as fun as ever. Thanks to its sandbox world, impressive destruction physics and complete mayhem in some of its moments, Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-Tered shows that ten years after its original release, it should not be ruled out and there's a whole package of elements here to explore.

7 / 10 - Flashback
Aug 11, 2018

Flashback is another classic that lands on the Nintendo Switch and this 16-bit gem brings with it everything that made it a nostalgic piece of gaming, along with some additional new elements. Thanks to its old school gameplay, those who know what Flashback is about are set to become very attached to this re-release, while those less accustomed to its demanding style will face some frustrating difficulties.

7 / 10 - Yuso
Jul 20, 2018

Yuso lands in the Nintendo Switch in the company of many other puzzle games and if it does not reinvent the wheel, it is undoubtedly fun and entertaining enough to keep players around it for a few hours thanks to its simple but challenging and compelling gameplay. It does feel like it was designed with smaller platforms in mind and this is further attested by its rather short content.

The Walking Dead concludes its story and the resulting effort on the Nintendo Switch is certainly a satisfying one, featuring some (welcome) tense and emotive moments, as well as some improvements in the gameplay experience. The game could benefit from less quick time events, though, and some technical issues as well as ups and downs on the plot make its performance somehow patchy at times but the overall conclusion is that this is a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.
