7 / 10.0 - Raging Justice
Jul 30, 2018

Overall Raging Justice should please fans of the genre and although it doesn't modernise beat 'em ups in any meaningful way, there is still a lot of fun to be had.

3 / 10.0 - Bullet Witch
Jul 17, 2018

Despite a few neat gameplay touches Bullet Witch ultimately fails to impress and this remaster only goes to show that this game should have stayed in the past. What could have been an interesting third-person shooter is let down at almost every point by frustrating game design and bland level design.

8 / 10.0 - Bombslinger
Apr 15, 2018

Bombslinger is an updated take on a classic genre. The game's strengths come from the way it combines the arcade feel of its action with the brutal approach of the rogue-like genre. It's a simple game, but one that offers inventiveness and swathes of charm that should keep players sticking around for a long time after the credits roll.

6.5 / 10.0 - Tiny Metal

Right now, Tiny Metal feels slightly undercooked. It has the strong foundations of a game that could be great, but is let down at almost every turn.

5 / 10.0 - 7 Days to Die
Aug 4, 2016

A frustrating and flawed experience that could have been great. It will be interesting to see how the game is updated and whether the developer's can capitalise on the potential that 7 Days To Die offers, but unfortunately doesn't deliver on.

For what could be an exciting arcade racer Table Top Racing: World Tour fails to make an impression. It's an acceptable racer but it does little to distinguish itself leaving it feeling standard and boring.

9 / 10.0 - TrackMania Turbo

Trackmania Turbo is a gem of a title that incorporates tight and responsive gameplay with longevity and replayability. You can spend a long time trying to attain all the gold medals, but it will be worth it.

A great shooter that offers a surprising amount of variety and content. The mechanics may be simple but EDF 4.1 showcases spectacle above all else and it always proves to be thrilling.

5 / 10.0 - BRAWL
May 14, 2015

Brawl could have been a fun party game with a sinister tone but it falters at too many steps. The gameplay can be fun but the slow pace of it requires a lot of patience and forward thinking from the player. The campaign is disappointing and other party games do a much better job than Brawl making the online options commendable but sadly irrelevant. Unfortunately Brawl is one party game that isn't a blast to play.

6.5 / 10.0 - Paperbound
Apr 16, 2015

When first playing Paperbound you would be forgiven for thinking that the game is a simplistic take on the arena battle genre. Dig a little deeper though and you find a game with solid gameplay mechanics, that delivers rounds of fast paced fun whilst playing solo, or with friends. The quick, frenzied matches of Paperbound can offer hours of fun if the core gameplay appeals to you. It's undoubtedly a mix of solid mechanics that appear simple, but are fiendishly fun to play and can be deviously complex, it's just a shame that Paperbound ends up being paper thin.

Grim Fandango is a great game let down by its age, it generally looks good but persistent bugs hinder the experience. For fans of adventure and puzzle games I would highly recommend it, as it has one of the most engrossing and enjoyable stories of recent memory, and even the simplest of puzzles offer great satisfaction upon completion. The world and story of Manny Calavera are the main reasons to play Grim Fandango, persisting through the bugs can sometimes be a frustrating experience but it will be worthwhile. Grim Fandango is truly a classic of its time and will remain a highlight of the adventure/puzzle genre for years to come. This new remastered version may do little to enhance the experience but it does offer gamers a chance to play a remarkable game, and that is surely worthwhile enough.
