9.5 / 10.0 - Grand Theft Auto V
Dec 12, 2014

It's very rare in today's gaming scene that we get a chance to play a game more than once through. This gives you the chance to play one of the best games ever made, again. A chance to experience fantastic gameplay, hilarious and intelligent social commentary and a fantastic story full of characters with vibrant personalities that fit perfectly into a fascinating world. This is an opportunity you should take with both hands. This is the definitive version of a masterpiece.

9 / 10.0 - Tower of Guns

Overall, Tower Of Guns is a stunning example of how old-school design is still relevant and fun in today's industry.

9 / 10.0 - Destiny
Oct 1, 2014

Destiny is a game that has some bad storytelling and some unbalanced multiplayer, but the core gameplay is one of the best in the genre and the design of the universe is one of the finest examples I've ever seen. The years Bungie have put into this game's development are clearly seen here. With plenty of content to continue to play past the end of the story, and more coming, it's a great game that deserves your time.

9 / 10.0 - The Fall
Jun 28, 2014

The game offers a great story, brilliant voice acting, a notable aesthetic progression and an innovative combat system. And while a little short the only thing left to say is: you should play this game.

8.5 / 10.0 - Battlefield 4

With its large scale warfare simulator simultaneously at its most accessible and long-term-fan pleasing level for years, and with CoD: Ghosts looking a little tired, it may just be the year of Battlefield.

8 / 10.0 - FIFA 15
Oct 23, 2014

FIFA is a game about making you feel like a superstar. The game excels at creating moments that induce feelings of immense pleasure from periods of extended play. While the game is essentially the same old FIFA you know and love, it's a testament to the formula that it never seems to get old. With every feature you can imagine still here and improved, and more added for this year's iteration, you're left with a solid football game that gives you all the tools to enjoy playing for another year.

Overall Garden Warfare is a game that takes the core strengths of shooters and makes them accessible to all. Its presentation is fantastic and infects the game with charm at every turn. If you're looking for a fun time, PopCap gives it to you in spades. By ratcheting up the fun and lowering the seriousness, Garden Warfare gives its players what everyone wants from a video game: A good time.

8 / 10.0 - Super Motherload
Apr 23, 2014

Super Motherload feels expertly hand-crafted and exudes more love and care than any AAA game could ever hope to. An inspiration to developers everywhere that balance and understanding of pace can carry even the most simple of games. Besides its small flaws Super Motherload is not only an example of a small game done right but, frankly, a joy to play.

7.5 / 10.0 - Sniper Elite III
Jul 15, 2014

The game is a solid experience for anyone who has enjoyed the series up to now. If you've never tried it then this is the one to jump into. If you've never liked it, this won't convince you. It's more of the same but it's polished and unapologetically good fun.

7 / 10.0 - Thief
Mar 10, 2014

Thief is a disappointment. However, laying beyond its shortcomings with movement mechanics, combat and narrative, is a satisfying core of theft and stealth that can, at times, still have you feeling like a master thief. If you're looking for something to waste hours collecting digital trinkets on, and feeling like a total bad ass thief while doing so, then this may be for you. For anyone looking for a story-driven, combat-focused, narrative-based experience you'd be better off looking elsewhere.

I would most certainly suggest Sir, You Are Being Hunted to anyone who's looking for something fun. It doesn't hold up for long due to its minimal story and non-existent class system but what it does, it does well.

While it offers little new content and is poorly optimised, Unity does offer the prime Assassin's Creed experience.

5 / 10.0 - The Evil Within
Oct 27, 2014

At the end of the day, The Evil Within is a good Resident Evil game from 2005, but a below average third-person action adventure game in 2014. Silly design choices and just plain awful decisions manage to hold back what could be a fantastic experience.

5 / 10.0 - CONSORTIUM
Feb 21, 2014

The overall sci-fi themes are interesting and might lead somewhere, but without tighter mechanics and a broader set of outcomes, Consortium just sits as a wannabe Mass Effect that doesn't quite understand the difference between a game of Guess Who? and a video game.

3.5 / 10.0 - Ryse: Son of Rome

Ryse falls short in almost every area in which a game can. Pretty and polished though it may be, it is not an essential title.
