9.5 / 10.0 - Forza Motorsport 5
Nov 27, 2013

Forza Motorsport 5 offers something for everyone. You don't have to be a racing fan to appreciate how thoroughly detailed Turn 10 was in their development. Within just a few hours, we raced SUVs, Asian imports, luxury cars and even Formula-1 racers. Toss in a ton of customizations for each vehicle, and no race ever felt the same. The Drivatar concept brings about a sense of unpredictability. Even better is that your Drivatar will race for you while you aren't playing Forza 5 in order to keep a steady cash flow for you to keep upgrading cars or to buy new ones. Forza 5 is an excellent fan service to all aspects of racing and shows that the Xbox One has started the next gen console race at full speed.

I've had more fun playing Metal Gear Solid V than probably every other action or stealth game I've played in the past decade.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition is the apotheosis of GTA clones, proving itself just as enjoyable and beautiful as all the games and films that inspired it.

With a multitude of new content and features, the Ultimate Evil Edition is, quite simply, the definitive way of playing Diablo III on a home console.

Ultimately, Reaper of Souls is more than enough to reel in former Diablo III players who went into a demon-slaying hiatus. More importantly, Reaper has the ability to appeal to the fans of Diablo I and II that were turned off by Diablo III.

[W]e wholeheartedly recommend that fans of any form of fantasy storytelling, especially those who are fans of Pendleton Ward's style (who actually is part of the cast), must play Broken Age: Act 1. We have a good feeling that if Double Fine held off for just another year, the full version of Broken Age would have easily been a nominee for game of the year.

Blizzard has finally released its official take on the genre it inadvertently created in the form of Heroes of the Storm, and let's just say that League and Dota have finally found a worthy competitor in the multiplayer online battle arena.

Similar to its story, DmC's remastered version of Dante embraces the things Ninja Theory's kept and changed from the old Devil May Cry formula, making the unification of heaven and hell as fun as it gets in the land of Limbo.

8.5 / 10.0 - The Banner Saga

Ultimately, the steep learning curve and focus on statistics management which could be considered a hindrance is vastly outshined by The Banner Saga's absolutely memorizing production value.

8.5 / 10.0 - Her Story
Jun 24, 2015

Her Story's '90s aesthetic makes me feel nostalgic, and hearing the old computer boot up noises and seeing my silhouette rendered on the screen were nice touches. This Google Video-esque crime game isn't for the impatient or for those with short attention spans, but it rewards those who are willing to engage with its purposely-limited but complex delivery system.

Black Ops III might not reinvent the wheel or even be the best Call of Duty game to date, but it is certainly one of the grandest. Even better, this one is meant to be played with your friends.

8.5 / 10.0 - SOMA
Sep 21, 2015

Ultimately, SOMA provides a unique tale of sci-fi horror that is unlike any of its contemporaries. While it's fun to get the heart racing while being chased down by a huge robot set on dismantling you, it's the narrative parts of SOMA that left me thinking about it long after completion.

Resident Evil is an excellent, successful resurrection of a timeless classic. While there may not be enough content to satiate those familiar with the 13-year-old remake, things still felt fresh, in a rotted, unsettling sort of way.

8 / 10.0 - Watch Dogs
Jun 9, 2014

Ultimately, the vast amount of content that you get for Watch Dogs help inspire us to overlook its graphical shortcomings. It may simply be yet another GTA clone that didn't meet our expectations, but it still plays efficiently and offers a staggering amount of fun for players to explore every pocket of this tech-noir version of Chicago.
