As a soft reboot, this new entry of Sakura Wars works perfect as it offers some fresh ideas and changes to its gameplay mechanics while retaining the essence of the series, as well as most of the key aspects that turned it in one of the most beloved franchises in Japan. However, it is not suited for everyone as its combat controls feels clunky and basic and the combination of genres is unbalanced, so much that it will mostly appeal to those that love dating sims and visual novels.

Trials of Mana is a great remake. Albeit the original game never came to the west until last year and most JRPG fans didn't get the chance to play it, this new version of the japanese classic achieves in offering both a classic and fresh gameplay experience, not to mention a nice and colorful visual update.

One Piece. Pirate Warriors 4 is not a bad game at all as it offers a lot of frenetic and chaotic battles with simple yet fun gameplay mechanics. However, it is really predictable and its contents are what many fans (from both the anime and Musou series) would expect. Its more of the same formula we have seen in previous titles, though that is not necessarily bad or wrong; only not amusing.

Re Mind is a non essential - yet incredible - DLC that brings some interesting content to Kingdom Hearts 3. It offers both, a new perspective of the conclusion of the game, and a new mode with a lot of challenge and mind blowing surprises that will fascinate die-hard fans of the series.

Tokyo Mirage Sessssions #FE was one of the most colorful, entertaining and visually amazing games from the Wii U that, sadly, most people ignored. Now, this new port for the Nintendo Switch serves as a second chance to get into this fabulous game, all while it adds a fair amount of extra content (previous DLC and new materials) that turn it into the most complete version of the title. It's one game that many will enjoy, specially fans from the RPG genre, the Fire Emblem and/or Shin Megami Tensei/Persona series and, even so those one who played the original title.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is an awesome expansion that offers an incredible story that approaches the world we already know from a new perspective, as well as some new interesting additions in the form of jobs, races and gameplay mechanics. The bad part is that the narrative is kinda slow paced and take some time before starting to get deeper and darker.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a great package that includes the HD versions of the first three games of the Ace Attorney series. If you haven't played any of them or you missed one, its a great opportunity to give a try. On the other hand and if you are a veteran fan, you will enjoy it a lot too, even though it doesn't offer anything new at all.

With simple gameplay, charming story, chibi design and a flashy companion system, Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! is a title that can become an excellent entry for all those who have not played a roguelike game. It's a shame that, in the end, it ends up becoming a fairly repetitive project that denotes the same mistakes of the original Wii game.

One Piece: World Seeker has a lot of great ideas poorly implemented in a game with wasted potential. Looking from the outside, all of its basic mechanics and elements work just fine, but all of them have many issues or don't go any further to offer something unique or remarkable. Yeah, its fun at the beginning but it turns boring and repetitive on the long term.

The wait for Devil May Cry 5 was long, but I think it was very worth it. The title is everything the fans expected from this installment and presents it to us in a game that looks and plays great, that offers new proposals within its already known formula and whose story, with excellent narrative rhythm, will fascinate all the veteran followers of good Dante for all the references and revelations that he exposes. It is by far the best game in the series.

Dead or Alive 6 is not a revolutionary entry for the series, but stands as one of the best entries of the series. Its gameplay mechanics and corrections implemented make it an enjoyable game and one with an awesome approach for beginners. Also the few new ideas added to the formula are well received and give it some freshness to this well known experience.

Anthem is not a bad game as a whole, but rather an interesting project with wasted potential. It has really great gameplay mechanics and an awesome setting that, sadly, got negatively affected by bad choices and poorly implemented ideas like a forgetable story with horrible narrative, repetitive mission structures, painful loading screens and a multiplayer approach with null sense of cooperation.

Junp Force works great both as a combat title with easy and fun gameplay mechanics and a crossover plagued with tons of fanservice derived from the manga and series it gathers. Sadly, its presentacion leaves a lot to be desired, its story is completely absurd and you have some technical issues that restrain it from becoming that dream game many fans wanted.

God Eater 3 is a good hunting game that, could serve as an ideal star point for those that haven't played these type of games. Having said that, it feels simple and with a lot of wasted potential. It works perfectly but veteran players will not find a lot to do on it aside from enjoying a kinda cliche and postapocaliptic story with anime design.

The wait for KH3 was very long, but believe me when I tell you that it was really worth it.
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition its a great opportunity to play and enjoy, one more time (o even for the firts time), one of the mos beloved JRPG games in history. Albeit its not perfect and many of its flaws have gotten more obvious with the pass of the years, its a huge game with the enough charm and content to maintain any gamer busy and enjoying for a long time.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate its easily the best entry in all the series, one of the most ambitious crossovers in videogames (and entertainment) history and one of the greatest games on Switch right now. It doesnt matter if you want it to play alone or with friends, it offers a ton of content to maintain you attached to it for hundreds of hours. Easily, one of the best games of the year.

Person 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Person 5: Dancing in Starlight are both great rhytm and musical games. Albeit the two lack some aspects from Persona 4. Dancing All Night like an Story mode or even a wider variety of tracks, both titles offer the enough ammount of content to please the fans of the series and, especially those who love the work of the composer Shoji Meguro.

Although there was fear of how Pokémon Go mechanics could fit in the gameplay scheme of both títles, Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! are two fantastic remakes that show how even a well consilidated formula can still adapt to new ideas. Also its a guaranteed travel through time, specially for those who enjoyed Pokémon Red, Blue or Yellow versions when kids (or teens).

Leaving aside the fact that its a reboot from the series, Soulcalibur VI es a great fighting game that retains most of the elements that have made the franchise one of the best among the genre. Yes, it doesnt add many novelties to the gameplay formula and some modes lack some charm, but nevertheless, its an awesome game worth your money and time, more if you love fighting games.
