Jason Germino's Reviews
Songbringer is fun and challenging. Unfortunately, the lack of a pulling force, supporting characters, more lore, something to that effect, will not grab every gamer. Songbringer is definitely worth checking out though if you have the slightest bit of interest, at $19.99 you'll get hours of fun.
I believe Quarantine isn't going to be for everyone, but it is a good turn based strategy with some intense moments. Especially with the whole world depending on you to manage this outbreak enough to save everyone. At $9.99 it is a fair price but waiting on a sale could help with the current shortness of six scenarios.
All in all this game is fun to play. My little guilty pleasure of the year so far. Yes it does have some issues but if you can look past those any hockey fan will enjoy the break from fast paced over complicated NHL to a glory day slug fest arcade-like hockey game, especially PC users at a $11.99 price tag.
Any Metroidvania or Retro fans would enjoy this treat, it truly feels like a modern NES game. Especially at the $9.99 price point.
Imprint-X should intrigue puzzle fans. Though light in story, the gameplay is challenging enough and priced well to satisfy most puzzle fans!
Overall Seasons After Fall is a fun game to play. Though there are some issues that I ran into, I did enjoy playing it and getting wrapped up in the story was good enough to continue pressing forward.
Ashwalkers is a pretty good survival journey. It is both simple and difficult at the same time managing the group is easy...if you have the resources. If you are the least bit curious, I'd give Ashwalkers a shot, especially with 34 different endings, you're going to have different experiences for a few playthroughs!
Sir Lovelot is a great platformer and worth a look, especially if you are a fan of Super Meat Boy. It definitely gives a whole new meaning to "Love is a battlefield"...
Cloudpunk was a fun voxel-like exploring, delivery game. The graphics fit perfectly and didn't feel like a gimmick. Though feeling repetitive at times, there were side quests, conversations, and collectibles that helped the "drive".
Fans of Outward should really enjoy these new additions, as it has something for every player to enjoy, from exploring, to enchanting, to corrupted magic. I did run into some bugs along my journey around The Soroboreans. Some of these actually have gotten fixed with the latest update, so though it adds some great content, you may also run into some technical bugs.
Murder by Numbers was a fun game for me to play. It was a nice change of pace to a lot of the current games and the puzzle aspect got my brain working well towards the end of the game. I would definitely recommend Murder by Numbers to puzzle, point and click, and visual novel fans. Take a break and enjoy something different!
Chikara: Action Arcade Wrestling is a lot of fun, especially playing with friends. New modes are being added all the time, but playing along may grow stale after a little bit. Kudos to VICO Game Studio for keeping on the updates and keeping the game moving forward. With a starting price point of $15, wrestling fans would enjoy hours of gameplay.
Overall, John Wick Hex deserves your attention. It's got action, tactics, a great story, and a slick look. Fans of the movie would definitely enjoy the extra lore the developers took the time to create a story that fits perfectly in the world of John Wick Hex. The price of $19.99 is a solid deal for this game!
They Are Billions is a solid single-player real-time strategy game. You'll get some good hours out of it, and have the chance to compete against others on the leaderboards.
American Fugitive is a blast to play. Despite some difficulty balancing issues, the gameplay is fun, the story holds up, and the audio is amazing. For $14.99 you're going to get some solid gameplay, even if you just want to blow through a farmers fence and tear up through a cornfield in a high-speed chase.
Weedcraft Inc may not appeal to all gamers due to its content. Though business tycoon simulation fans should "toke" (sorry) a look at what Vile Monarch brings to the table. Although it may not be perfect, it's damn close.
Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden should be played by tactical RPG fans, there have been some major updates recently with more on the horizon. If it's not on your radar, you should probably start looking into it.
Farming Simulator 19 is another solid entry in the series. With the addition of John Deere and more animals brings some more fun to existing players and new. Though I feel it's missing a few things to bring it over the top, Farming Simulator 19 still deserves respect for where it's at today.
These little robots, although not perfect, found a way into my heart. With the developers actively listening to their fans, if The Colonists grabs your interest in any way, jump on it. You won't go wrong!
I would recommend this game to fans of RTS and base management games. It was fun and refreshing, and somewhat nerve-wracking. There aren't many issues I had personally with the game, it was enjoyable.
