Star Wars Battlefront is back and EA has switched an expensive season pass for a ludicrous microtransaction system. The game sure does look and sound good and the gameplay is somewhat nice but it doesn't respect the players time and the much hyped single-player-campaing is undercooked to say the least.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War is pretty much a Shadow of Mordor with more of everything. It's ambitious, good looking and the combat system is both fluid and entertaining. As a action game, Shadow of War is almost as good as this genre gets.

In standard Blizzard tradition, it makes for a gaming system that is accessible to many different types of players, while lacking the ability to reach the real heights in terms of depth and commitment. There are plenty of good and creative ideas here, but for the most part it's about remixes of proven elements polished to perfection.

Ubisofts Wildlands is one of the most anticipated action games this year – and one of the biggest disappointment we had in a long time. The story is shallow, and the co-op aspect never lives up to its fully potential – mainly due to repetitive missions and an empty and boring world.
