6.7 / 10.0 - Death end re;Quest
Apr 6, 2020

Death end re;Quest is an interesting mix of Visual Novel, and JRPG which has a decent storyline, art design, and core gameplay mechanics, but despite the good core design, it gets repetitive, boring, and unchallenging after some time. If you can tolerate reading lots of dialogue and enjoy similar titles from Idea Factory, this game can be a good choice for you, but I cannot recommend it to general JRPG fans.

Operencia: The Stolen Sun is a great Dungeon Crawler that is reminiscent of old games of this genre and blends the charm of Dungeon Crawler with great art design, and magical Hungarian folklore. There are some problems in the pacing of the second half of the game, and the technical aspect of graphics is not very good, but Operencia: The Stolen Sun is still very enjoyable, and it’s a good choice for old-school fans of the genre.

8.5 / 10.0 - In Other Waters
Apr 20, 2020

In Other Waters is a mesmerizing game about discovering the unknown. It has a minimalistic art design with great story-telling and simple gameplay mechanics. It doesn’t offer that much of a challenge, but it succeeds in delivering a relaxing experience with new perspectives about discovering a new planet, that despite the differences, is somehow like the Earth. If you want a good and well-made relaxing game, In Other Waters is a great choice.

May 1, 2020

Fort Triumph is a well-made Tactical RPG game that mix fantasy elements with turn-based combat of XCOM, some aspects of Heroes of Might and Magic, and parody, and the result is an enjoyable potion. If you enjoy games like XCOM, Fort Triumph will be the right choice for you to experience the gameplay charm with fantasy elements.

7.5 / 10.0 - A Fold Apart
May 10, 2020

A Fold Apart is a short but interesting game about long-distance relationships. It succeeds in delivering its message with creative and engaging gameplay mechanics about folding, rotating, and seeing the page from different perspectives. Its short playtime alongside some frustrating moments in the gameplay prevents this game from being perfect; nevertheless, it’s worth playing.

8.7 / 10.0 - Neversong
Jun 10, 2020

Neversong is a psychological platformer about depression and grief trauma. Its story accurately demonstrates the extreme feelings of someone who lost a loved one. The game’s art style and music are in complete harmony with its atmosphere, and it also features well-designed gameplay. There are some technical issues in the game’s physics system, and its difficulty may be very casual for hardcore platformer fans. Nevertheless, I can recommend Neversong to the players who like games analyzing psychological and mental health problems.

Desperados III is a great real-time tactics game. Its elegant level design, great music, right implementation of Quick Save and Quick Load mechanisms, and well-written characters help to create a perfect experience in this genre. 6 / 10.0 - Skully
Aug 8, 2020

Skully is a platformer game that could be great, but unfortunately, due to some technical problems and infuriating issues, it is, at best, a mediocre game. Some problems, especially those related to the control system, can and should be fixed as soon as possible. The game may be a little boring at some parts, but some intelligent puzzles make parts of Skully enjoyable. I couldn’t recommend it at its current state, but I am sure that it can get much better after some updates and fixes.

Horizon Zero Dawn is undoubtedly one of the best games of the eighth generation. Its immersive world design, alongside extensive deep combat system and breathtaking art design, makes it one of the best experiences you could have in a video game. Horizon Zero Dawn PC port has some performance issues, but it is still a must-buy for everyone interested in Action RPG video games.

A Total War Saga: Troy is an excellent take on the mytho-historic Trojan War. It introduces new mechanics for each of the game's eight factions that give each hero a unique feel. The art direction of the game and how they used poetry arts to create the campaign map's skybox makes the game even more stylish and exquisite. There are still some problems in Diplomacy and AI, like almost every other Total War game. Also, the siege battles are not as impressive as normal ones. With all this in mind, A Total War Saga: Troy is better than Thrones of Britannia and worth playing.

7.5 / 10.0 - PGA Tour 2K21
Sep 3, 2020

PGA Tour 2K21 offers an exciting and enjoyable golf experience for both newcomers and Pros. There are some shortcomings in career mode, and it is not as engaging as other sports sim career modes, but the game's main mechanics are fascinating. There are some flaws in the game, but it is one of the best golf experiences in years and can be an excellent choice for both complete beginners and diehard fans.

Marvel’s Avengers is a good game but it had many potentials to be a perfect game. The story and character development are fascinating and has more deep than I expected from this game, and the base core gameplay and combat mechanics are done very well. Still, unfortunately GaaS elements had affected most parts of the gameplay, from level design to the overall experience. There are also some technical issues, especially in console versions, that hurts the overall experience. The game didn’t realize its full potential, but it can be enjoyable for marvel comic fans and it of course improves through time.

9.3 / 10.0 - Wasteland 3
Sep 13, 2020

Wasteland 3 is an impressive CRPG that takes place in a post-apocalyptic frozen Colorado. Its main story and side missions feature believable, remarkable, and well-developed characters. It also has a robust combat system that makes you think very carefully about approaching your enemy and how you build your party members. There are some minor technical bugs in the game, but they usually don't significantly affect the overall experience. In conclusion, it is a must-buy for every CRPG fan.

8 / 10.0 - Going Under
Sep 28, 2020

Going Under is a charming Roguelite game with a satirical story about big tech companies that give the players a decent gameplay experience. It also features extensive difficulty settings that can help newcomers understand the core of the Roguelite genre. The game uses a unique art style that completely fits the theme. A low number of dungeons and some other issues can make the game a little boring after a few hours, but it is an enjoyable experience.

AquaNox: Deep Descent is a wasted effort to revive a unique underwater submarine shooter game. It features a somewhat good story, but it is not strong enough to convince you to continue the game. It’s gameplay core mechanics are also mediocre and are not very exciting. The graphics are too old for a late 8th gen game. The game can be enjoyable for some players, but I cannot generally recommend it.

SpellForce 3: Fallen God is a unique blend of RPG and RTS genre that is built upon on great foundations of the main SpellForce 3 game. It offers an exciting story featuring Trolls, and you can enjoy its narrative even if you didn’t play the main game. The game can be somewhat overwhelming for someone who doesn’t have any RTS and RPG genre background. At all, despite minor issues, it will be a pleasant experience for RTS fans.

7.2 / 10.0 - Godfall
Nov 24, 2020

Godfall is a looter slasher game that successfully delivers a robust combat system alongside gorgeous next-gen graphics. Unfortunately, it fails in utilizing all the potential of story settings. It also gets boring and repetitive near the end. It doesn’t add anything special to the action genre. It is not a bad game; neither is it a great game. Godfall is just an OK game with really astonishingly good graphics.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory is a great rhythmic game based on the series, which is known for its complex story and masterpiece music. Melody of Memory succeeds in summarizing past Kingdom Hearts games' story and makes it ready for future installments. This game features about 140 excellent musical scores and offers a great experience. There are some minor issues like the item system, which seems redundant, but it is an enjoyable game for fans of Kingdom Hearts and rhythmic games despite these issues.

Chronos: Before the Ashes is a pretty traditional Action RPG Soulslike game with adventure flavor that manages to present the player with a pretty normal and standard experience in the genre. It features exciting mechanics like the age system, but it isn't woven coherently in the game structure. Chronos: Before the Ashes can be an enjoyable game for Soulslike fans, but it doesn't offer anything significantly different or better than other Souls clones.

Super Meat Boy Forever is a challenging platformer like its predecessor that needs precision and lightning-fast reflex to overcome its challenges. Some changes to the game like auto running may not appeal to older fans, but it is implemented reasonably well. The randomly generated maps of the game cause some of them to feel incoherent, and this makes the game overall feeling inferior compared to the previous installment. In general, it is an enjoyable platformer game, but it is nowhere near the original Super Meat Boy.
