inFamous: Second Son is a big improvement on many aspects of the previous games in a technical and mechanical sense, though it still falters in some of the same ways that they did.

Despite the flaws, Octodad offers a good, ludicrous journey that at least pays off in its key moments to make enduring the frustration worth it in the end.

Child of Light does a lot right to make it a great, charming game that comes from parts of the talented team that made Far Cry 3, which is about as far away from that game in every way as it gets.

Snipperclips: Cut it out, together! is a very good puzzle game on the Switch's eShop that is a perfect showcase of the easy local co-op capabilities of the Switch's core design. That said, the lack of content and replay value makes it necessary that we get some DLC or Nintendo greenlights a sequel promptly to keep the party going for a bit longer. For now, the game's style will make it stand out on the Switch during this launch period as a title to get while we wait for more Switch games to be released.
