Another successful game in the Star Wars universe and further proof that major publishers shouldn't give up on the turn-based tactical strategy genre just yet.

A captivating action game—at first, it evokes many associations with familiar blockbusters, but then becomes increasingly captivating with the narrative, the scenery, and the surprisingly good combat system, which one could only dream of in previous installments of the series.

A successful—and in some ways even brilliant—attempt to create a game in the spirit of Nintendo 64 shooters. As a nostalgic experience, Agent 64 is a great game. But as a standalone title, it doesn't stand out in any way and will likely bewilder those outside the game's target audience.

An atmospheric and occasionally touching action game from a studio that has never done anything like it, and unfortunately, it shows. The plot is depressing, exploring the locations isn't particularly engaging, and the bosses are repetitive—but the excellent combat system alone makes it worth checking out. Waiting for a huge discount, of course.

Perhaps the most successful attempt at a full-fledged Hotline Miami clone. Kusan won't replace the third installment in the series, but it will at least evoke emotions similar to those experienced many years ago while playing the Devolver Digital classic.

9 / 10.0 - The Mermaid Mask
Jul 31, 2026

The Mermaid Mask turned out to be not only the most successful game about detective Grimoire, but also one of the best detective adventures in recent years.

Charming platformers that didn't lose their appeal after the disappearance of VR requirements. The main drawback is that the second game is much better than the first one, but it doesn't mean that you won't have fun playing both of them.

An excellent remake that reminds us why Black Flag is considered one of the best games in the series. And after Resynced - one of the most beautiful, too.

8 / 10.0 - Crushed in Time
Jul 12, 2026

This year, such a release was Crushed in Time, simultaneously reminiscent of classic humorous quests from the LucasArts era and attempting to bring something new to the genre. It's not without its typical quest flaws, but the unique, flexible gameplay and solid humor outweigh these few shortcomings—we can't wait to see what else these developers can come up with.

5 / 10.0 - Dark Scrolls
Jul 11, 2026

Devolver Digital often publishes experimental and unusual games, and Dark Scrolls certainly qualifies as such. But while playing, I'm reminded time and again of another recent release, Ball x Pit.

8 / 10.0 - Deer & Boy
Jul 5, 2026

A charming and touching platformer that may seem formulaic and basic from the outside, but in fact turns out to be quite original and memorable.

7 / 10.0 - Phonopolis
Jun 21, 2026

Phonopolis has a derivative story and a brilliant art style, and you reach the credits because you want to see everything the developers have crafted. But the game barely comes close to matching Amanita's best releases.

Despite all its flaws, Solarpunk is still so captivating that you sometimes lose track of time.

9 / 10.0 - 007 First Light

A vibrant, captivating action game that features spy thrills, spectacular shootouts, fierce fights, chases - basically everything you'd expect from a James Bond game.

9 / 10.0 - Forza Horizon 6
May 30, 2026

The new Forza Horizon in a new region was enough for many people, and they got exactly what they wanted. The sixth installment offers an improved progression system, more social elements and other innovations that make this game even harder to put away than its predecessors.

The best Lego Batman game—with great humor, an atmospheric open world, and an incredible amount of fan service. At times, it's very reminiscent of Batman: Arkham—too bad the combat isn't as good.

7 / 10.0 - Saros
May 9, 2026

The game is as spectacular and gripping as Returnal, but with a much greater emphasis on story and less varied gameplay. It feels like in an attempt to correct its mistakes, Housemarque considered the wrong components of Returnal to be its shortcomings.

A great boomer shooter which is inspired by a lot of popular games of the past, but at the same time feels unique thanks to its wonderful visual style.

A beautiful and varied platformer that has some issues with both the narrative and - to a lesser extent - the gameplay. Waiting for a discount is a great way to go - in that case you'll definitely won't regret the time and money spent on this game.
