Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a step back for Xenoblade series. Sequel can't match almost perfect Xenoblade Chronicles in every aspect. From story and characters to the world itself, Xenoblade 2 feels more like a generic jRPG than a Monolith Soft game. And this is truly disappointing.

Long awaited 'true' sequel to the DMC series isn't about only Dante AGAIN. Nero as a playable character still feels like a step back for the series. As for V, he is just one of the worst characters in the genre. With the boring level design and lack of action in the cutscenes, DMC5 is falling behind both DMC3 and DMC4.

GRIP: Combat Racing is a really, really great gift for the fans of the Rollcage series. The game manages to capture an atmosphere of futuristic racing games of the past. But GRIP also inherited all the cons of its predecessor, like broken balance and lack of content.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical role playing game where tactic component is heavily overshadowed by the social activities and dialog-heavy story. Instead of fighting, you'll spend most of your time speaking, watching cutscenes and doing other unrelated to battles stuff.

The Pedestrian is a cute little game, with great visuals and interesting puzzles. Relatively short, but elegant.

Beautiful Desolation is not a perfect game by all means. But damn, its atmospheric world and crazy, grotesque citizens are stealing the show, forcing you to beat the game just to see how many strange creatures you can meet along the way.

It seems that Supermassive didn't have enough time to fully realize the potential of "Little Hope". There's less interactivity and branching of the story here in comparison to previous studio's titles. This year's project is okay, but Supermassive definitely can do better.

Sparks of Hope lost the effect of surprise and could not reach the first part both in terms of the level of humor and the quality of the battles. It's still a good and enjoyable tactic, but it flies out of your head immediately after passing.

Surely the game will have their admirers who would like to see such more serious races on the roads, but those who are hungry for undiluted adrenaline gamers will quickly get bored.

Crash Bandicoot 4 is visually similar to the classic trilogy, but in terms of gameplay, level design and overall feeling it falls behind Naughty Dog's masterpieces of the past.

Well, good news is that Ash of Gods isn't a complete clone of The Banner Saga. Bad news — this game took too much from the Stoic series, to the point that it feels like a user mod, with bad balance and poor writing.

Well done, Square Enix, another lazy mobile port to the big platform. But this isn't the main problem – Switch version also suffers from dumb and unresponsive motion and touchscreen control schemes. They blatantly ruin all the fun this game can provide. The worst version of TWEWY to date.

Void Bastards during first 2 to 3 hours looks like a great roguelike-shooter mix, but then all great ideas are killed by repetitive gameplay and lack of the content.

The long awaited remake of the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is here, but it fails to deliver the tense and scary atmosphere of the original game in every way. A lot of content has been cut, and new Nemesis is just a scripted clown rather than bloodthirsty killer.

Hey, Zack, we are not perfect. Yet again. But hey, we are among one of the most unusual games released in recent years. Deadly Premonition 2 is charismatic, atmospheric, but definitely not for all. Fine with us.

Paper Mario: The Origami King tried to be an RPG with adventure elements, but failed and became an adventure with miserably boring combat

Darkest Dungeon 2 wanted to move away from the formula of the first part as much as possible and send us on a new adventure, but something went wrong. The project simply lost the gloomy atmosphere of its predecessor and never figured out how to replace its mechanics.

Dune: Spice Wars tries to be both 4X and RTS at the same time, but it failed to competently combine the advantages of the two genres. The games stretch at a snail's pace and do not develop in any way, do not change during the match. The game quickly shows everything that it is capable of, after which there is simply no need to return to it.
